Remove the battery and immerse both the phone and the battery in dry uncooked rice for three days. This is the only cheap way to dry everything out. After the three days put the battery back in the phone and it should be OK
By "dried it off" I assume you just dried the outside, this will not prevent internal damage obviously, the best thing to do is immediately remove the battery to prevent shorts in the I.Cs and then remove the housing and place in the hot water cupboard for a few days. Your wife's phone has probably suffered a short and is probably therefore wrecked.
the black solid line that you were saying, is that vertical or horizontal? But anyways, i just want you to follow these steps... Step one: Reset the printer
Unplug the all-in-one USB cable from the computer.
Verify the computer and the all-in-one have a three-prong power cord that connects to the power outlet.
Unplug the all-in-one power cord from any power strips or surge protectors, and plug it directly into a wall outlet.
Make a copy or scan, and see if the issue is resolved. If not, proceed to the next step.
Step two: Clean the glass and scanner backing
Turn off the all-in-one.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the all-in-one.
Raise the lid.
Clean the glass with a soft dry cloth, or a sponge slightly moistened with non-abrasive glass cleaner or water.
Dry the glass with a chamois, cellulose sponge or soft cotton cloth to prevent spotting.
Clean the white scanner backing with a soft dry cloth or sponge slightly moistened with water, and allow it to dry.
Step three: Try a blank copy
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Plug the power cord into the all-in-one.
Turn the power on.
Close the lid; do not place any paper on the glass.
Load paper in the paper tray.
Do either of the following:
Press Start Copy Black to start a black-and-white copy job.
Press Start Copy Color to start a color copy job.
Please let me know if the steps didnt resolve your issue.
Seems like your lcd and or flex cable might be gone. Also, u may have a short on the board, u probably tried to turn it on and it was still wet. Water damage can cleaned, and the parts are all replaceable. Check my profile as we may be able to help you.
Hi Aky,
The best thing to do is to take the battery out leave it to dry and your phone do not try to charge the phone for a few days that should solve the problem. if not the water has gone into the liguid lcd screen.and the lcd screen need to be replace.
i know it sounds ridiculous, but take the battery out and leave the rest of your phone to sit in a dry place for a few days. you can blow dry it as long as you dont heat it up too much - use a cool setting or jsut be really careful. ive dropped the exact phone in water before and this tip from a friend worked.
also, if this does not work, you can go to verizon and they have some tool to retrieve your contacts. i think it costs like $25 or something, but they should be able to retrieve numbers without your phone working, atleast this has been my experience. good luck!
