Should I be concerned that my new Frigidaire Front Loader washer-model# LTF6700FSO control panel any time when it decides to on its on beeps and lights up as if I am getting ready to wash a load.
My knob on my washer feels jiggly. It still turns the dial, but I'm concerned it will eventuallynot work properly in the future. Should I call a repairman?
Mine does this if there is the tiniest power interruption. Even if the lights only barely flash and nothing else happens in the whole house, the washer lights up. I just cancel mine out. It is not going to start running, and I don;t think there is a solution to this annoying little glitch.

I see that your Frigidaire washer will not spin on the final cycle. You could be having an issue with your motor or control panel. It is possible that the control panel is not sending the required information to your motor in order to process the spin cycle. Or it could be that the motor is not receiving the signal from your control panel to spin.
I would recommend performing a reset on your appliance which you can do by unplugging the power cord or flipping the circuit breaker for ten minutes. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt
This advice is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet front loader washers and dryers with a Control Lock problem.
This may or may not be an indication of a serious problem. In the majority of the cases, this is a simple operator error. Nearly all these model appliances have some sort of Control Lock feature on the front panel now. This is a designed safety feature that is used to prevent small children from manipulating the controls. The controls can be easily locked or unlocked by pressing and holding the following button on the front panel:
Whirlpool Duet Washer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds.
Whirlpool Duet Dryer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds.
Kenmore Elite Washer - Press and hold the DRAIN/SPIN button for 3 seconds.
Kenmore Elite Dryer - Press and hold the AUTO DRY LEVEL button for 3 seconds.
These instructions may not be all inclusive for all Kenmore and Whirlpool models, but they are the most common. Chances are, if you have a Control Lock feature, the instructions will be printed on the front panel adjacent to the button that is required to lock or unlock the controls.
NOTE: These instructions may also work for newer model Maytag, Hotpoint, Admiral and Frigidaire model front loaders as well. Refer to your owner's manual or front panel for instructions pertaining to your specific model.
If the Control Lock feature will not lock or unlock the appliance, unplugging the unit for AT LEAST 30 minutes is recommended in order to reset the main control board. In many cases this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches.

First of start by checking the rubber gasket seals around the door and making sure those are good and clean and dry. Then inspect the barrel itself. My daughter loves to leave scraps of paper in her pockets that then get stuck in my front loader. Clear any debris from the barrel. Does your machine have a small front access panel or back access to get to the filter? Most front loaders have some sort of filter on them apart from the barrel. If you can find this part, it is a common culprit. Mine is a tube shaped basket with a front access panel on this one. On the front loader before this one is was back panel accessable under the drum. when you check these have a bucket and some thing mop up with handy, towels, mop, etc. One other thing to consider is the drain hose from the machine. I have flushed mine using a garden hose in the yard and used a little bleach.
How old is this unit? Usually these locks cost an arm and a leg. This is especially true with units like: G.E, Frigidaire, Hotpoint...These are units that are owned and operated under General Electric. First, if you have a volt-ohm-meter, do a continuity check on the switch itself. Then if that checks out, your next culprit would be the main control board (most likely).

Just had same problem. After removing boot/rubber gasket around opening, and replacing door lock assembly it still would not work giving the same ERR LOC message! Another site directed me to press the "Options" and "Select" buttons at the same time. BINGO! My husband was quite proud of me!
Control panel lights up and peeps when not in use
