My tab has just forced a close down and now it will not reopen. last message to appear before closing was google android is not responding and needs to close down. now i have tried to reopen and it freezes on reboot with samsung logo and nothing else! please help i only got it yesterday!!!

Go to settings >applications >running and force close UHD player and camera. If they don't show up there click menu and show cached processes. If not try a factory reset but backup everything first.

You can go to menu and close all tabs

Pattern Lock- Incorrectly enter pattern 5 times (4 or more points each time) . Pop up message will appear Click Next and you will be prompted for google a/c details or security question for pattern lock.
tap forgotten pattern and on next screen enter google account details. Then next screen allows you to choose a new screen lock option.

Otherwise for a factory reset use recovery mode
The only other solution is a hard reset which is only as a last resort. You need to access Androids Recovery mode. Check your manual. Most devices it is power off then power up holding volume + and power buttons.
Once in this mode use power down button to highlight "wipedata/factory reset option, then use power button to select it.
Vol - button to to scroll and select yes delete all user data option with power button. When device reset select option to reboot now and the device will turn on unlocked but you will have lost your personal data.

Please give us the detail of your browser. What kind of browser you are using? Chrome? IE? Or anything else? What problem do you have when closing a tab?
We usually close a tab by simply clicking on the X mark on the top-right corner of the tab within a browser.

1 - out of account
2 - Clean all device
3 - Scan Anti Virus
4 - promising device driver
5 - open a new browser site

Try going to system settings and select 'About Tablet' then checking you are fully charged and in good wifi signal select 'system updates' Update to any new version it finds.
Make sure it is fully charged with the screen brightness down (so it will last for hours, just in case). The last thing you want is a power down during an update...

Even still to this day, it happens.
I've figured a temporary solution to fix this issue.

1. Go to settings > apps > manage apps and make sure you are under all apps tab.
2. Find Google play store and force close it. Then select uninstall updates.
3. Go back and scroll down to find Market Updater?... I think is what it is called and select force close.

From now on, only use the Market. The Google Play Store icon may disappear from the apps/app drawer... which is exactly what you want.

Problem solved.

If it ever happens again and Play Store comes up again, just repeat the process. As I said, I believe this fix is only TEMPORARY.
