Change wall paper in settings of pitchers.
This solutions seems to suggest that the screen is a default wallpaper. I don't think this is what is going on as I have the same issue. At power up, in normal behavior the screen flashes the toshiba logo for less than a second and then proceeds to windows xp boot up screen, and from there to login and all programs load normally. What is happening to me (and presumably to renatemitchie above) is at power on, the system puts up the toshiba logo but never proceeds to the next step of the xp boot up. It advises hit f2 or f12 for different functions but neither of these do anything. in fact, all features are frozen at this point.

I forgot to say that it does not move beyond the Toshiba logo and says press f2 or f12, which does nothing
