Error code CH 01 code is on panel, and "bucket full" light is flashing. The bucket is not full, and dehumidifier will not run. We cleaned the filter and coils, which did nothing.

Unit only runs a few seconds and then shuts off

If the water reservior is empty then the float is stuck in the full position.

There is a temp sensor clipped to the bottom of the coil. Heat it and see if the unit turns on. I used a match but be careful to just heat the tip. If the unit comes on order 6877A30013R SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Sears has it for about 15 bucks. Anyone reasonably handy can install it. This is NOT a bucket switch issue despite the blinking light.
