DLP Projection tv, Models WD-52631,57731,65731. The tv powers on but the screen remains black, the audio comes on but after approximately 30-40 seconds,the audio starts to skip and then the entire tv system shuts down. I reset it a few times but that doesn't change the problem.

I have a model no. WD-82837 mitsubshi DLP. When I power it on the welcome screen comes for about 30 seconds and then the tv shuts off before the picture ever comes on. what's the problem?

SPEAKER PROBLEMS

If you are coming out of the cable box then you need to run a pair of audio feeding the audio to the tv. The other thing to look at is that you have the audio and video connected to the same input on the tv.

How can you diagnose a failed lamp in a Mitsubishi DLP WD 52631

Remove the lamp and do a visual inspection.
If this is a DLP you may have a bad color wheel! whistling sound is a sign of color wheel.

When you turn the TV on it stops at the blue Mitsubishi screen and the power button just blinks. You have to then unplug the TV to power down. Pushing the power button on the TV or remote will not power...

There is a software update that is available for some Mitsubishi dlp models. The wd-65c9 is one of them. When I experienced your problem, I went to the website, downloaded the update, and installed it on my tv and boom, its fixed. It's super easy, free, and takes a few minutes.

Call Encompass Parts 1800-638-3328 or look them up online they list your TV as well as Service Manual and Keep in Mind just because Light Engine was replaced 3 months ago does not mean it cannot be same Problem so if you have any warranty on it replace it again!

You need the V26 power board repair kit. You can get it at the following link and it comes with step by step instructions with pictures. Heres a link to the proper kit.

Mitsubishi DLP overheating

Mitsubishi has problems with the thermal sensor going bad. They extended the warranty for several sets. The sensor is right by the lamp. Call mitsubishi and insist they do something for you. If you keep playing your set, the bulb could also be at risk. I would think your set is covered being a 62" set. Good-luck and be sure to act ASAP.
