Hello, my monitor is not showing any image on the secreen the light is turned on but the monitor does not seem to get the image from the computer, i can tell the monitor has received a signal because the light turns from orange to yellow as if would have been shaken hands with the computer. Is there a reset combination of keys or how can i fix the problem
I dont have any warranty left.
Thanks
Well i just had this problem this morning i woke up turned on the monitor and it came on but went out. but i soon found out it was not the display that is not coming on its the black light. if you look closely you can see the display but there is no light to light it up so you can see. it doesent seem to be anything wrong with the circuit board just the black light i am going to be taking the monitor apart to see if there is anything me or any of you can do for the monitor to fix it.
i actually found out the problem with mine if this is the case for you. when i turned it on it came on but than went out if you look closely, shining a light helps, if you see the display is working but there is no light to show it my problem is that there are 4 mini floresent bulbs that, are soon to go out you can tell from the burn marks on the bulbs, they could not take the pressure anymore from the glass that they are putting light into so you could eather find new mini floresent light bulbs or you can run it in pieces like i am for a temp fix you would need to start the monitor with the lights off the glass than carefully put them back on and set the lcd pannel back on and you should be good till you can find something to do with it.

Turn the monitor off and on till it comes back on. It WILL come back on.
I have the same problem with the screen, it turns on, flashes and stay dark, you can however see the picture but it's VERY faint (flash light helps).
After looking around I found a "repair kit" on ebay and they say that it's the fuse that needs to be replaced:
"If
your monitor has a black/blank screen, blinking power light, or very
dark picture, than this repair kit should help you get your monitor back
up and running."
if you wanna try, just search for "Repair Kit L2046NV" on ebay and you will find it, it's $9.99 + $2.99 shipping.. am not the seller but wanted to see if anyone tried it or if you will then post your results.
Thanks
Well turning it off and on multiple times worked the first time it happened but it's not working now. I'll try replacing the 4 mini floresent bulbs if I can get a part number.
I had the same problem.... my monitor would go black..... I turned it off and on.. it would turn on and show a picture, but then a second later just go black... the green power button is on and green.... I did what root4rd3d said... keep turning it on and off..... I did it about 5 times and ... it stayed on ... for now :) Thanks

No Image on Monitor Westinghouse L2046NV problem, with light on
Same problem. The screen is black, but faintly, in the background, you can suint and make out a picture. It comes on when monitor is turned on, then immediately goes black.
I have the same problem. Tech guys where I work said it is the backlight that is out.

Your problem is that your fluorescent backlight is outbecause the inverter circuit is broken. You will need a soldering iron, copper braided desoldering wire, thermal paste, and some skillz. You willhave to replace the following components. Brackets are [optional]:
Through-Hole:
Q206, [Q205]
C204, CE101, [CE109]
[CE103], [CE104]
SMT (backside of PCB):
F200

I suspect that there is a flaw in the fluorescent inverter circuit that allowsboth NFETs to turn on at the same time (causing a short between some of thecapacitors and ground). I further suspect that this only happens when themonitor comes out of standby mode. If this is the case, you may getincreased life out of this fix by powering off the monitor, waking up yourcomputer, THEN turning it back on rather than allowing the monitor to come outof standby on its own. You may get increased life even if you ignore thisadvice because of the added heatsinks and the low ESR capacitors that Ichose.
