Erricson Router is introducing its new Smart Services Routers claiming it's built an architecture better suited for the delivery of premium services provided by https://babasupport.org/routers/erricson-routers-customer-support/360
Hi.
To start, this TV should not require service remote to access service menu or adjustment menu.
In service menu also there is not a single reset option, but the technician must set the values one at the time.
About the part purchased, I could not find any JVC 87274RS remote control. Please check the number, include any dash or spaces, and include any info you have on the part, so that we can spread light on this.
About the problem it does not sound like something that "just need a reset" it looks like HDMI port is defective, and you should be entitled to get a technician at home if the unit is still in warranty (check it out).
Here how to get in service mode. You use the standard remote. Do not change values in service mode or you can damage the TV:
I uploaded here a service manual for the 40'' of same chassis.I do not have the 42''. Service mode, most parts and functions are the same. Panel size and frame are different.
Regards.
Ginko.
Hi.
PTU94023B is a service remote. I have seen this remote used on VCR or DVD.The remote is used to reprogram device EEPROM (memory chip). The remote requires to set the device in JIG RCU mode.
Use of the remote is simple. You enter OF:FO in the remote, then press the transmit and three button.
~About your initial question, the answer is no. If the TV in in JIG mode, then the only way to stop JIG mode is by using a service remote. JIG mode is not simply a reset is a special diagnostic mode that kicks in when the internal chip is replaced or in some case like this.
The remote will be pre-programmed, and instructions will be printed on top of remote.

Hello
There is no other way to set it to factory defaults without its original remote control. With a universal remote control you can't do it. OK.
Are there any more characters in the model number? Searching my data bases for that model number has turned up no hits at all. Usually the JVC model numbers will have 2 letters first, then 2 numbers, 1 letter, and finally 3 more numbers. Sometimes there will be a "/" at the end with another letter that designates a sub-category within a model number. Please let me know and then I can attempt to find you the code for the reset. Thank you.
After doing some more research unfortunately the information that JVC provided was accurate. Perhaps you might be able to find a sympathetic repair shop owner who will do the reset for you for a reasonable price. The manufactures feel that type of equipment should only be used by the properly trained and certified repair techs. The cost of the unit itself is prohibitive enough that it doesn't make sense to purchase it for a one time use. I wish I had better news for you.
Thank you for the opportunity to assist you in resolving your issue. Should you need further information or assistance please do not hesitate to let us know.
The remote that you quote would in fact do the Hard Factory Reset on your TV. It would be connected to one of the master IC's and the keypad would be used to input the code. The TV would then go through the reset procedure.

Hi there,
You should be able to do this from the on-screen menu if the TV is in DTV mode:
1. Press the TV/DTV key on the JVC remote;
2. Press the MENU key;
3. Use the down arrow to highlight DVB (looks like DV3) for the DTV menu then press "OK";
4. Use the down arrow to highlight "Factory Settings" and press "OK";
You will probably be asked to enter the PIN code. The default is 0000. If you have set your own PIN code, use this instead. If you have set a PIN code and forgotten it, you can use 0081 to reset the PIN code, but you may need to do this first from another section of the menu.
5. After entering the PIN, highlight "YES" and press "OK" the TV should now reset to factory defaults.
If this doesn't work, try re-setting the HDMI devices as well by disconnecting them from the power outlet for a few minutes. You can also try resetting the HDMI audio:
1. Press the MENU key on the JVC remote;
2. Highlight SETUP (the box icon) and press "OK";
3. Highlight "HDMI SETTING" and press "OK";
4. Change the audio settings to "Analogue" and then press "EXIT" to close the menu;
Finally, repeat the steps above and change the HDMI audio back to "Auto" or "Digital"
Please try all of the above, then let me know if you need further assistance. To reply, please click on "Add a Comment" below your question.
Hope this helps.

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for letting me know. I believe what JVC are telling you is correct, but it was worth trying.
I don't know of any other ways to reset this TV apart from the above, so hopefully someone else at FixYa can help you with this. The only other suggestion I can make, is to switch the HDMI CEC off, test, then switch CEC back on again. CEC controls the automatic switching to the external inputs for HDMI devices - the option is in the HDMI SETTING menu as above.
Beyond that I have no further suggestions - other than to take it to your nearest JVC service centre where they could probably do it for you while you wait.
Good luck.
Regards,
BElectric

Usually answered in minutes!
Hi Thank you very much for the advice unfortunately it did not work..... Still a blue screen on the HDMI channel.. however when I switch the HDMI device on the TV does switch straight to the HDMI channel . so it recognises the HDMI has been activated..
JVC UK told me what the fault is and apparently this TV has very sensitive software that protects the HDMI from god knows what !! He told me I need to get a master service controller and use the "0ff0" pin to reset the TV but they wont sell or loan me one...
Just another brain to help out.. no problem at all with the advise so far ..
Yes you are quite correct the model number is LT46 -DZ7BJ
I have already tried the menu-installation-factory reset option but that did nothing... apparently its not a true hard reset which is why JVC say I need this master service remote control part number :
Part Ordered: JVC - Remote
Control
Part Number :
87274RS
I hope this helps...
Kindest regards..
Is it possible to reset the TV without this controller ?
More help needed..
Hi the full Model number is JVC LT46-DZ7BJ
