This should help you with setting the hot water on your valve. Maximum hot water limit setting The adjustable hot water limit stop (F) is factory set in a neutral position (0), see fig. [5]. On applications requiring to limit the valve opening from full hot position, the factory set adjustable hot water limit stop must be reset as described below. 1. Remove the factory set adjustable hot water limit stop (F), see fig. [6]. 2. Slide the adapter (G) onto the valve stem (B) by placing the stop post (G1) on top of "Arrow" ? (H), see fig. [5] and foldout page III, fig. [7]. 3. Turn the adapter (G) counterclockwise until the outlet water reaches the desired temperature and read the corresponding number (1 to 10, see fig. [5]) against the stop post (G1). 4. Close the valve by turning the adapter (G) clockwise and remove the adapter (G). 5. Align the white mark (F1) on the limit stop (F) against the number (1 to 10, see fig. [5]) you have selected on the dial and slide the limit stop (F), see fig. [8]. 6. Proceed to item 6 in chapter "Installation" to install the

Thanks. I went to the Grohe site a few minutes ago. Our shower is approx 5 years old. The current model that appears to be the closest match 19 229. The only difference is that our face plate is flat and rectangular. The valve head is very similar. Can I just pull the head off? I am afraid to pull too hard and have not been able to get it off. Is there a screw or button that I need to push to get the head off?
Thanks for your help. The usual temperature readjustment for the thermostat numbers was not enough. I think took the green adjuster out of the unit, but was unable to get it back on with the washer attached. Without the washer it fit back on - without it did not. I tried to force it back on with the washer, and it broke since it is plastic. Will have to figure out from here whether I can find the plastic or will need to get an entire kit. Thanks again.
That's great. Thanks again!
