SOURCE: The combined Paradyne router and

You buy a new one, you install it in the place of the other and you configure it following the manual - you will need the connection data from your ISP (username and password - they are in the contract).
If you no longer have it you can download it from here

The router must provide new internal IP's. Make sure it is set to DHCP. IPs are never shared.

Paradyne 6218-12-200 won't connect all computers

A public IP address is usually assigned to the WAN port (outside/public side), which is how your router is conected to your Internet provider service.

A private IP is always assigned to the private network side (LAN = Inside). Unless you are hard coding your IP addressing on each of your devices, you will need to have DHCP enabled in your router with enough user IPs for your devices (more than 1).

Paradyne 6218-I2 ip filter

If you are using multiple computers, and DHCP, then your IP's are probably changing, which is causing your issue. You need to manually assign an IP to a computer for the IP filter to be effective in the Paradyne.

Paradyne problem 6218

If the address you mention is correct, try reseting the router first, (normally a little hole at back), then typing in again, although most routers have a 192.168.x.x reference and not 198.168.x.x as you mention.
