Mom's Basic White Bread for DAK Turbo II
1 package yeast
3 cups flour
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 T nonfat dry milk powder
1 T butter (room temperature)
1 1/4 cups warm water (Not straight hot. It'll kill the yeast.)
Pour the yeast to one side of the inner pan. Add the rest of the ingredients in the order above. Select white bread and push "Start."
i just found a turbo II in my friends basement with 2 recipe books baking bread today.... but in why when the kneading stopped the rising light did not come on it stayed lite in kneading is that normal?
Yes, this is normal. There are two kneading cycles for the DAK Turbo Baker II, and between the two cycles, the machine stops kneading and lets the bread rest for a bit, with the indicator light still staying on Kneading. Letting the bread rest between kneading cycles allows the flour to absorb water and make the dough more "dry" and elastic without adding more flour. It conditions the dough and is good for it. :)

Hi my name is Carrie. I have the DAK TURBO BAKER 11, I just bought it today for $7.50 @ a Thrift Store!!! It looks brand new. The even better news is that it came with all of the original booklets, etc. If you email me your address I will make copies of it all and mail it to you if you would like? My email address is: [email protected] I like to "Pay it Forward" so it will be my treat :)
I don't know what to do. I just bought the Turbo Baker II at a thrift store. I am making banana bread, but am using a recipe that doesn't call for yeast. Will all of the kneading that the machine is doing cause my bread to come out hard?
