I have a Hoover 500mb, 5kg HD Top Loader washing machine. The problem I am having is the clothes always have lint and other stuff on them after being washed. I have tried taking the agitator off and seeing if anything was caught but there was nothing but a bit of a build up of soap scum. If I run the machine with nothing in it and stop it during a wash I can see all the floating particles of scum and lint. Do you guys have any ideas of what else I can try?

Try using a cup the the same soap you would put in your dishwasher and run is with the hottest wash setting possible

You should be able to remove the agitator,also try adding or spraying limeaway or clr on it during the rinse cycle

INSIDE THE AGITATOR IS A PLASTIC GEAR AND SOME DOG EARS WHICH GRAB THE AGITATOR,,,USUALLY ITS THAT,,CALL YOUR LOCAL APPLIANCE PARTS STORE,TELL THEM THE BRAND AND THEY WILL KNOW JUST WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT AND YOU NEED,,ITS A SIMPLE FIX,,NO NEED FOR TECHNICIAN,,
