Send the player back to OPPO as they have become aware of this issue. OPPO has a flat $49 repair service for the LIFETIME of the unit after the warrantee period expires. I experienced the exact same issue and it's the main power board. OPPO will provide you with an RMA# when you call them, give them a credit card number for the $49 and then pack the player securely and ship it to them. They pay the return shipping and in about ten days you'll have it back working better than new with new firmware and the latest upgrades as well. You'll have to reset your Region Free settings and all your special parameters but it's a super deal. And they then warranty it for 90 days and if it breaks down at any time in the future again after that, it's still only $49 for another complete fix.
