If the adjuster screws have a spline rather than a screw driver slot, then the special tool is part no. 530035560, be carful adjusting the H screw, this will govern the max revs, if you exceed 12000 rpm you could cause damage to the engine, you realy need a means of testing the max revs, a tachometer.

My ttr 230 hard to start when cold then shuts off when you let off the throttle and wont start for a few minuts

sounds like a carb problem. if its used maybe someone had a different pipe on it, rejetted the carbs, then took the pipe off when they sold it. might also be a simple carb adjustment

Weedeater FB25 5months old only used once and was hard to start right from the box. Can't get it to run now. What steps should I take on troubleshooting

This sounds much like poor car settings ( set too lean ) you need to richen up the L and H screw on the carb, unfortunatley there will be anti tamper sleeves on the carb or a special tool reqired to adjust them, turning the screws anti clockwise will richen the mixture if you manage to remove the caps or get hold of the apropriate tool.

How do you adjust the carbuerator

Most of the new carburetors have screws with special heads that do not accept tools most DIY's will have. These carb. adjusting tools are restricted to dealers only. I can't speak for all dealers but many will adjust the carb. for you if you ask.

If you can adjust yours, start with one turn out from "seat" and adjust as needed for proper performance.

Trimmer will start but as soon as i depress the trigger it dies. I have had to replace the primer bubble and in doing so made sure the gasket was put back on properly IT JUST WONT STAY RUNNING can you...

Your trimmer is starving for fuel. If it is less than 18 months old, my guess is that it just needs a carburetor adjustment. If it is older than 18 months, it should have the carb cleaned and rebuilt, or replaced. Check with homelite.com for the cost of a replacement carb, sometimes they are less expensive than having the old one repaired. If it just needs an adjustment, find a local repair shop to do it for you. Homelite requires a special tool to adjust the carb, and won't sell the tool directly to consumers. Some shops will sell the adjustment tool. No special tools are required to replace the carb, just basic tools.
Good luck!

BLOWER only operates at half choke....then shuts off and can;t start again

your mixture screws probibly have to be adjusted.i have a homelite weed whacker and homelite leaf blower.
both had to be adjusted after i used them 6 or 7 times.theres a tool you can buy to move the screws.or you can be cheap like me and use a dremal tool with a cutting wheel on it and cut slots in to be able to adjust with a flat head.
turn the screws clockwise til there just seated, not too tight.then turn each one out counter clockwise to 2.5 turns and start adjusting from there.the first screw is the low setting and the second is the highs. i usally start with the highs.but u can do what you want. u can also youtube on how to adjust.

Require high and low carb settings for Poulan 2050 with WT 324 carb. It has no primer, so have bypassed primer and run lines direct. Has heaps of spark but will not fire.

You will find that saws of recent production allow very little if any adjustment for the consumer. The carb will either have limiters which allow you less than one turn of adjustment or they require a special tool to make the adjustment. You will need to take it to a dealer to have these adjustments made. This is your government in action protecting you from that evil pollution your chainsaw spews out.

If you are able to adjust, then gently seat each screw and open 1 full turn. This should allow the unitto start and you can adjust from there. If it will not start you probablu need carb repair or replacement or you have other problems.
