My Kenmore Elite HE5T front loading washer is giving me an F20 (Water inlet problem - no water or insufficient water supply) code. The Drum fills half way up with water in about 5 minutes and then the code comes on. There doesn't seem to be an insufficent amount of water. I checked the drain and it is clean and clear. Any other suggestions?

The F20 error deals with the water coming into the tub. The F20 code indicates the control didn't see any water enter the tub.

  1. There is a flow meter that tells the control water is coming into the washer. If the flow meter is faulty the error usually happens quickly.
  2. Near the pressure switch is a clear plastic hose may be kinked or even have a small hole in it. Check the drain line first and then remove the top of the washer to access the pressure switch and pressure hose. With the washer empty remove the hose from the pressure switch located on the right side of the washer and blow through it to clear any debris blocking the pressure hose or air trap.
  3. If this doesn't help then most likely you will need to replace the pressure switch.

F20 error code

Hi.

F20 means that there is a water inlet problem:

Reasons for error F20:
(Water Inlet Problem-no water or insufficient
water supply) Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle
Unplug washer or disconnect power.

Check the following:
Are water faucets completely turned on?
Are screens at inlet hose connection to washer
clogged? Are water inlet hoses kinked? Are water inlet hoses frozen?

If that does not help inlet valve, pressure switch and control module must be tested. The defective part must be replaced.

Here the tech sheet.

Regards.

I have a error code washer mayta f20

Hi,

"F20" indicates a water inlet problem (no water or insufficient water supply) in your washer. To resolve this issue check your washer inlets, maybe the water valves are off or you don't have enough water pressure.

Thank you!!

Have kenmore elite HE5t giving code F20 help pls

The following link explains the "F20" error code:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r1491905-f20_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

I recommend checking your washer installation for a possible siphoning condition and kinked fill hoses, first, as these are the easiest items to rule out.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
