I have a sam4s er5100 cash register. Yesterday a girl shut drawer to get a receipt printout. While this was printing out another girl started using the cash register. The cash register locked and we can do nothing with it!! On the screen is PP 0.00. I have looked in the manual and tried to clear the memory but nothing is working can you help?? To set the SAM4S ER-380 cash register to automatically print a second copy of the receipt after a transaction, you need to follow these steps:

1. Turn on the cash register and press the MODE key until you see the REG mode.
2. Press the PROGRAM key and enter your password (the default password is 0000).
3. Press the 3 key for PRINTING.
4. Press the 1 key for RECEIPT.
5. Press the 3 key for AFTER PRINT.
6. Press the 1 key for DUP (Duplicate Print).
7. Press the CASH key to save your changes.

Now, the cash register will automatically print a duplicate receipt after each transaction.

sam 52xxm registers use two thermal printers....so make sure the paper is thermal and not in upside down. also make sure the receipt on/off function is "on" . and finally see if the tubular black paper feed roller hasn't popped out of its socket making the paper not turn or advance

RECEIPT or JOURNAL ON / OFF MODE
Turn key to "X" (Manager Mode) then
Press "4"

The REG. PRINTING ON/OFF screen displays.
Press the "YES/NO" key to toggle from receipt on to receipt off.
