The answer is in the question - you've been disconnected for some reason.
Are you wireless or wired?
if you are wireless then try going next to the wireless router to see if the fault is being too far away.

SOURCE: I'm getting an Error 106:

Sounds like a few things, but lets get most of the problems out of your way.
So you want to download a few programs as it sounds like a virus/malware/etc. As its affecting your browser Google Chrome (maybe its just that one or all the browsers on the one system). Youve verified that everything is working ok on another computer, which helps narrow this down to virus/malware. Either way, you want to run these 4 programs :
Emisoft Anti-malware Kaspersky Removal Tool Super anti-Spyware Spybot (Immunize) and scan.
right off the bat, please go to super anti-spyware and under tools you will see the option to repair or restore winsocks. This is usually the main cause why your error happens.
Winsock is short for Windows Sockets API. It describes a standard way for Windows programs to work with TCP/IP. You use WinSock or the more recent Winsock2 if you directly connect your Windows PC to the Internet. This feature is mis-used by a few hijackers to facilitate their own monitoring. Data packets outward bound from your computer to a legitimate destination on the web can be intercepted by a malware LSP and sent somewhere else, other than where you had intended it to go.
again, if that doesnt fix, run all the scanners (update them before running, run as admin). Reboot, repair winsock, use Marcos Valasco Registry Cleaner Freeware. And reboot, you should be mint.

Thank you
