Dear sir,
when i print directly from the printer it prints perfectly
But when i give command to the printer from my pc, i get the following
error
PCL XL error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: IllegalTag
Operator: Oxlb
Postion: 6

It is a driver error, try another printer driver version or use PCL 5 rather then PCL 6 driver,
Check your USB cable it must be HighSpeed or USB 2 cable.

I already answered this, but the response did not get posted.
The short answer is that the PCL XL interpreter has picked up the use of the "Escape Code" (0x1B) in the incoming datastream. This command is used for the standard versions of PCL, most notable PCL 5e. It is not used in the PCL XL datastream.
