If the LCD screen on your JL Audio JX250/1 amplifier is not lighting up when you turn it on, there may be a few possible causes:
• Faulty power connection: Check that the amplifier is receiving power by verifying that the power light is illuminated. If the power light is not on, there may be a problem with the power connection, fuse or wiring. • Blown backlight: If the power light is on but the LCD screen is not illuminated, the backlight may be blown. In this case, the LCD screen may still display information, but it will not be visible without a backlight. • Faulty LCD screen: If neither the power light nor the LCD screen are illuminated, there may be a problem with the LCD screen itself. This could be due to a faulty display panel, cable or connector.
This sounds like a faulty hardware. i would suggest taking it to sony if its still under warranty and get it replaced. if not contact a local technician.
THE TOUCHSCREEN/DIGITIZER IS A DIFFERENT PART FROM THE ACTUAL SCREEN , YOU JUST HAVE A BAD SCREEN .DIGITIZER IS GOOD .
HOPE THIS HELPS ,IF NOT I CAN HELP YOU MORE
It depends on the screen; a few have a small light or lights behind them, but I believe for most modern screens, the lighting is in the screen itself. It sounds as if yours is not working, but it CAN be replaced, and it's not a hard job to do so--although the part may be a little pricey. It's roughly equivalent to the screen of a laptop not working.
This could be that the screen topback light or bottom back light is bad or the inverter.
the topback or bottom back light could also be seing as the flouricent of the screen that light up the screen to enable display visible. This top back light or botom back light as the name implies is positioned at the top and bottom side of the screen. It takes an expertize knowledge for one to be able to change the flouricent when comfirms bad.The same is applicable with Inverter.
There is a board called an inverter behind the screen besel. The inverter is like a balast in a flouresent light. The inverter supplies the power to light the screen.
Try removing the motherboard from the screens and attach the battery the green light should turn on and stay on.
Now attach the lower screen and turn on. If the screen is ok the screen and green light will flash and then turn off. (if the screen doesn't flash the bottom screen is you're problem and will have to be replaced)
If this happens the problem is then you're top screen which you will have to replace.
