1.Go to your computer bring up the Facebook login screen like you normally would. Do not fill in any information.
2.Click on the link above your Facebook user name and password that states forgot your password. This brings you to a different screen.

This is not something you can delete. Facebook implemented this feature to make it easier for you to find people you may know or recognize. That's why you're seeing people and names of individuals you do not not or remember searching.

There is a link saying "Forgotten your pasword" on the login page. Click that and you will be presented with a new page to enter your email where the password will be emailed to you.

If you have two facebook accounts open on the same computer, then it will not allow one of them to have chat access. Make sure that you do not have another facebook webpage active and if that does not cure it. Do a restart of your computer. Computer restarts solve tons of problems that most people have.
