We have just puchased a PD9000 potable DVD player. Will it play a Blue ray disc?

Unfortunately, this model does not support Blu-Ray discs. It supports DVD and CD playback only.

It does support DVD, DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW, (S)VCD, CD formats, MP3-CD, CD and CD-RW playback. It will also allow you to view jpeg picture discs as well.

If I understand your rather cryptic post correctly...

This very well could be a Blue-Ray disk loaded into a
non-Blue-Ray capable DVD player. Your car player's capabilities MUST match the disc, otherwise, the disc won't play.

I've run into this very same problem with my home DVD players. Which both are non-Blue-Ray capable, but I was able to verify the Blue-Ray discs on my PC.

1. Turn on player.
2. Open disc tray.
3. Wait till 'Open' appears on screen
4. Type 9 6 5 3
5. Press up or down button to reach REGION option
6. Press OK button
7. Scroll UP/Down to TEST0 , press OK
8. Press setup again to exit
