HI i have a JMB LCD TV MODEL 42883 today it started turning its self, on and off standby,the standby light is flashing on and off i`ve even tried taking out remote battery but nothing works sometimes picture will stay on for a few minutes then randomly turns on and off again

Hi , silly question but I have a jmb tv 32 inch code Jt0132003B/01 but can't find the power button on the tv !?! I looked all over the tv but doesn't seem to have one ??? I don't want to leave it on stand by so my only option is to turn off at wall but that turns off My talk talk and DVD player too , any know where is it !?!

You either have a problem with your power supply board or main board. I would start with having the power supply fuse checked as well as the power supply board!

if there's standby light and wont start , even if you press the power button , it has a power supply failure, maybe some capacitor ha bloated or change the value, try to watch this http://www.youtube.com if you know how to solder, or even disassemble the back of LCD TV. if not try to call a repair technician.

The Standby/Power light of the TV blinks when there is any internal malfunction in the TV.
The self-diagnostic function of the projection TV will cause the STANDBY light to blink or flash when the television detects an issue. The number of times the STANDBY light flashes corresponds to a specific issue. As per the two examples below, some of the issues may be resolved without the need for service.
If the STANDBY light flashes four times in sequence, the TV may be overheating. To resolve this issue, ensure that the back of the TV is well ventilated.
If the flash sequence is not listed above or the light continues to flash, follow the steps below to perform a power reset:
Try the following steps to check if the issue can be resolved.
Turn off the television.
Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.
If the issue continues to occur, service may be required.

Does tv turn back on itself OR standby light start flashing?

I had the same problem just today with my Goodmans GTVL26W8HD TV I was at it all day trying to get it to turn on. It was like it was stuck in stand by mode, Until my partner opened it up and unplugged the control panel at the top of the TV ( The manual control buttons ) now it works via the remote control . He does stress however thats its extreamly dangeroue to mess with TV;s as the electrical current in a TV even when unplugged can Kill , So if you don't know what your doing leave well alone and get someone who does know what they are doing to do it for you

Hello Charliebigwh, hi technically your monitor's power supply has a problem, this is either your switching regulator does not work or there is a short in that section, If you want to do it your self, need to replace all large value, and or high voltage capacitors(especially the capacitors with its top is bubbly), need also to replace the switching IC, and power transistor.

Have it checked by a technician if you cannot do the work.

Technika flat 32 screen: Doesn't not switch on, the blue standby light just flashes.

got the same here, turned it off via on/off button, then the big lightning storm happened ,next morning same as the rest, anyone got a clue how to fix it, ive opened it up but even thats beyond me.
