A card access error may indicate that an xD-Picture Card memory card is in a write-protected condition. xD-Picture Card memory cards have a special protection feature to ensure that your pictures are kept safe. NOTE: During this condition, you can still use the printer for printing and saving photos from the xD-Picture Card to a secure location, such as the computer hard drive. To resolve this error, try the following:

  • Reinsert the xD-Picture Card memory card into your camera and turn on the camera. In most cases, the camera automatically makes the necessary changes.
  • Reformat the xD-Picture Card memory card. See the documentation that came with your camera for instructions on reformatting the memory card. Note that this process erases the pictures currently saved to your memory card. To save these pictures, transfer them to the computer before reformatting the memory card. Once you reformat the memory card, transfer those photos back to the memory card using the computer.

Hp photosmart 435 size of sd card

SD cards top out at 2GB, and any of them may be used with the camera. Any larger cards are SDHC cards and will not work.

Dear all, I bought my olympus camera (FE-320) since 2 years but i lost my wire to connect my device to the laptop. I know that i can use my chip memory card ( xD-picture card..M 1G) but it doesn't work...

Two solutions...you can get a replacement USB cord at stores like Walmart, Best Buy, etc....take your camera with you to get the correct size. Or, you could get a separate card reader and use it instead of the camera. This one is $13 at Walmart: 8abf15e.jpg

HP Photosmart R967 memory card is locked...

I have an HP R927 and just had the same problem. Take out your memory card. Look on the side of the card and you will see and white "knobby thing" ... make sure it is pushed up ... that should fix it.

Hp photosmart 2610 won't read my sandisk ultra memory card

Previous solution is the FAIL. Original poster says it works fine in _camera_, but not in _printer_. _Printer_ is the compatibility issue, not camera.
