I recently bought a Brother cs 6000 at a real bargain. I was told it would sew without a foot pedal. When I began to check it out, I get an error (E2). I do not have the manual, so I don't know what this means. How do I sew withoug a foot pedal, and what is error E2?
With the foot pedal disconnected from the machine, push the button with the - and upward arrow. to stop sewing use the same button. It is the first button closest to the needle.

make sure your foot peddle is fully pluged in. It's a foot pedal error code.
Try unpluging your foot pedal and start the machine if it works without the foot pedal have the foot pedal repaired or replaced.
There are three types of CS 6000 they are CS 6000B, CS 6000i and CS 6000T
You can download the service manual and parts manual from this site http://www.nodevice.com/manual/Brother/page2.html
One file costs 4.95 Euro, or a 24 hour download (better value as you can get the parts manual too) costs 7.95 Euro to download
Call Brother at 1-877-276-8437 and order it direct from them, or go www.sewingpartsonline.com and buy from them, the foot control costs $29.99 and the power cord costs, $13.99 from Sewing Parts, I don't know what Brother's price is, but you can compare. Happy New Year
