SOURCE: dryer causing circiut breaker to trip

Have you tried replacing the circuit breaker?
It may be the problem.
You do not mention how old the dryer is, or that model number does not tell me if it is gas or electric. (I wouldn't know)
Another thing you could try is to take the dryer apart and clean out the lint, you will also have an opportunity to replace any worn-out parts like the belt, or heating elements etc.
Working on a dryer is quite simple, if you have ANY mechanical capabilities.

SOURCE: dryer won,t get hot

It's not a circuit breaker your chasing. Check your vent to see if it's clean. You could have a bad element.

Dryer has heat but not drying

The vent might be clogged or the heating element could be broken or is having issues and needs replacement or the cycling thermostat is bad. You should get your dryer repaired from someone that repairs major appliances.

SENSOR DRY IN SAMSUNG DRYERS

As a tech, I'm constantly fielding questions about loads of clothes not drying properly in the larger Samsung dryers--and this tip can be used for a lot of dryers with the sensor-dry feature. Sensor drying uses a pair of metal strips located on the filter holder or on the back wall in the dryer. When wet clothes rub against the strips, this sends a signal to the main board which tells the dryer to keep going. Unless large loads are used, the consumer should use "timed dry". This is because smaller loads won't hit the sensor strips often enough and cause the computer to count down too rapidly. Also, consumers should try to make sure like items are placed with like items( shirts with shirts, pants with pants, towels with towels, etc) Thick clothing(jeans, heavy sweatshirts, etc.) usually will have damp spots like pockets due to the moisture not being able to contact the sensor strips--the technology is not 100%. Also, if there are problems with the timer starting to count down too rapidly all the time, and dryer sheets are used, the sensor strips may be coated with a waxy layer. Use some super fine emory cloth to polish the coating off of the sensor strips. You very well might find that the problem is solved and not have to initiate a service call!

My 1993 Maytag Clothes Dryer heats up, turns but does not dry the clothes unless I place an absorbent towel in with the items. It sweats water from the bottom of the dryer. What is going on?

To dry clothes, we need 2 things:
1-heat to evaporate the water from the clothing
2- adequate air flow to exhaust the moist air, thereby drying them.

Your heat seems to work.....if you stop the dryer mid-cycle, the clothes should be hot.

It sounds to me like you have a lack of air flow through the dryer. If you can get to the exhaust vent grill outside, then see if you get a large volume of air coming out of it. If not, then look for the louvers stuck closed on your outside grill, or any kind of blockage in your ductwork.

Perhaps undo the vent at the back of the dryer TEMPORARILY

Washed load of towels wont work

try cleaning the drainage filter located under the front bottom panel.

Wet towels & blankets stacked on working dryer

This won't affect drying time unless the load is so heavy it causes the cabinet to warp and disturb the door seal. If you haven't had any problem with this so far you can probably keep doing it. (The machine is designed to support the weight of a wet load in the drum, and should have some safety margin. But why not invest in a roll-around laundry cart like you find at laundromats and keep the wet load there until the dryer is clear?) You might need to be more concerned about rust starting on the top of the cabinet if the enamel is scratched, since it's not usually subjected to wet loads being piled there. You should also check your vent pipe frequently to make sure it stays clear with all the drying you do. Clogged lint screens and vent pipes will definitely lengthen drying time.

Hello: I have a Maytag, do not know model # as I inherited the 5 year old model when I purchased a condo and it is now 7 years old. The front of it states Maytag - Dependable Use, Heavy Dtuty - Large...

I ALWAYS START WITH VENTING WHEN CALLED WITH LONG DRYING TIMES BUT I HAVE SEEN WHERE ONLY HALF OF THE HEATING ELEMENT IS WORKING, WHICH IS PRETTY RARE. A NORMAL LOAD WOULD BE WHATEVER THE WASHER HAD IN IT WHICH WOULD BE LOOSLY FILLED TO THE TOP ROW OF HOLES IN THE WASHER TUB. THE ONLY OTHER QUESTION I WOULD ASK IS IF THE WASHER SEEMS TO BE SPINNING OUT PROPERLY AND IF THE CLOTHES ARE GOING INTO THE DRYER TOO WET.

Beach towels sopping wet after machine done spinning

The washer will not proceed into high speed spin with just two large beach towels in the basket. The washer is detecting a out of balance condition, and remains in low speed spin. Solution? Try adding more items into the basket. With only two towels, there is not enough mass to balance the washer. With more clothing or towels, there is more items for the machine to balance, and reach full speed spin.

The only other thing that could cause this, would be if the water in the tub is not completely draining in the time allowed. This washe does not have a cleanout, and checking for an obtruction in the pump is difficult. I would go with the more clothes first, then see.

Washer turns slow loaded or not

front load machines will normaly spin slow on first part of spin cycle this helps distribute load evenly before hi speed spin also if load is extermely off balance ..a large towel with load of light fabrics will never spin to full speed due to off balance produced by wet towel hi speed spin is normaly acheived in last 3-4 min of spin cycle
