Check the contactor contacts for pitting. if severly pitted, replace contactor. If a death grip on the switch makes it work better then a light touch- replace the trigger switch.

Have you watched to see if the pressure light comes on right before shutdown? If so you may need to add a tank right next to the torch base to address the pressure drop assuming your air source is able to deliver adequate volume to the cutter continuously and you currently have more than 25 feet of hose between cutter and compressor. It might not hurt to check the internal filter as well.

You may need a better air supply. Also check the tip. This sometimes happens with mine when the tip gets pitted, not sure why but changing the tip sorts it out. They are fussy machines in some ways. Dont like dirty material, need a good earth.

Those plasma cutters work much better on 230 v I would switch over to get more power and better quality

the tech is probably pretty close to the cost of board,but you may have moisture in air that still wont take out the p.c..you have a warrenty on the unit,go to your local welding store and request a new one if refussed tell them you want to talk to the miller salesman which they should have no problem to set up.if not call miller direct in appleton wisc.they are good people.

If the problem continues, theres no enough power to start it.

The main thing that can hurt these things is water. If he didn't have a water filter on the line before it enters the plasma it could destroy the unit. If you buy it try it out to see if everything works. When you install it be sure to buy a filter that they sell for these and put it on before the air enters the plasma. Around $400. to $600 to replace the parts when water meets with the components. The filter that Norco Welding supplies sells for these is a toilet paper filter and you need to check it often.
