Did you check your sim with a different phone? if its ok, then you have to check the phone with a different sim if the same problem occuring again, there should be problem with the phone's RF portion.
Or try to use with a USIM which are specially made for Korean made phones.

If you have up your SIM in a Vodafone store, it'll already be activated for you. You can just insert it into the mobile phone and start using it.
If you ordered a free SIM online, you'll need to call 17298 free from your Vodafone mobile to activate it. Note: Before activating (registering) a Vodafone SIM card, make sure that the mobile phone is locked to Vodafone network or free from network restriction. If it is locked to any other network, you need to unlock it in prior. You can unlock a mobile phone safer and easier using unlock code. If your mobile phone is a Blackberry model, You can visit UnBBLock.Com to get the unlock code. If your mobile phone is from any other model, visit Mobile-Unlocker.com to get the unlock code. Good luck.
firstly check up with other operator......i.e. airtel etc. ....if network appears with other operator sim inserted, then it is hardware problem.....to confirm this.....insert voda sim....switch on the phone ...then go to menu>settings>phone settings>network selection>and select manual.....now your phone will start searching network......and network list (so called service provider list (or SP list))will appear.....on the top it should be Vodafone........if Vodafone appears then select it....it done......if Vodafone does not appear then its hardware problem.... solution depends on phone model....pl. mention it....older phones develop this this fault when a IC called PFO/PF/PA/or Duplexer develops fault........later phones have a IC called FEM ic in place of duplexer. in latest models its network ic.....this has to be replaced......some new phones have no solution for this
ya they set the default sim as your phone no. so you can goto the nearest vodafone store and get a new sim on the same number and insert the same .because the phone may be locked
