There is no error 5C10 listed in the MP530 service manual. however count the sequence of how the green and orange lights flash. Repost with this info and i can help you more.
Try power cycling the unit. Turn it off or unplug it for at least 10 seconds. If that doesn't help, the error code means a failure of the ink system. Sometimes replacing the printhead will help but not always. (Printheads are not-returnable.) If a new printhead doesn't help, the only solution is having the printer serviced. This is often not worth the cost versus the prices of new printers with out-of-warranty units.
This error is a message indicating print head/ink failure on the printer.
I would try the following 2 things:
1. replace the ink cartridges/print heads. test to see if the problem is fixed.
2. If this does not solve the issue, you may need to either send it to the manufacturer for repairs (if under warranty), send it to a local repair person to service- or look for a new printer to buy (which may actually save you money).
You can try and clear the error by holding down the power button and waiting for it to turn off then wait 30 seconds and turn it back on. {you might need to unplug it to get it to turn off}
or
Hold down the stop/reset and then push the power button while the printer is on. The printer should shut off then wait 30 seconds and then hold the stop/reset again and push the power button and the printer should turn on with the error cleared.
Can't solve it, but I have it. My Canon has not booklet print option when it's used as a wetwork printer, but it does when it's connected directly. Why?
1) On the panel, press and hold the <On/Off> button until the display goes blank (approx. 1 second). If the display does not go blank, unplug the power cord.
2) Wait approx. 10 seconds, plug in the power cord (if removed in previous step), press the <On/Off> button to power on the unit.
3) Wait for the printer to cycle through its startup routine before trying another print job.
