Monitor switch always return to Sleeo Mode

You can open the VGA cable and connect it again, sometimes there are two or three vga ports behind your cpu, connect the right one. Try it, if not success, change the cable.

My 3 yr old 2207 Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor went completely black. Only the on/off button blinks, constantly. Was working just fine, then occasionally gave me message that there was "No Signal...

If all of the pins on your VGA cord are OK then it is quite possible that your graphics card is the real issue. If you don't have an aftermarket graphics card then its your on-board one, which is built onto your motherboard, if that is the case you have get a new motherboard. Be sure to back up all of your info because if you upgrade to a better MB then you have to do a clean install. On the other hand if you buy the same one, you should still do a backup just to cover your assets, your able to keep your OS, files and programs intact. Hope this helps!

I have a Samsung SensR470 laptop and i have linked up the VGA, audio, and power cables but the monitor is not showing anything. when i turn it on, it just goes into sleep mode or otherwise shows the...

its because you failed to read the Samsung manual on your PC
go there and read, it has HOT key , all laptops have a hot key
Fn key that turns on the external display VGA jack.
on rear of this SAMSUNG.

SLEEP MEANS THE PC IS NOT SENDING THE HORZ AND VERTICAL, SYNC SIGNALS. AT ALL.
THAT MEANS WHAT>?
It means the PC, VGA jack is turned off.
bad cable
bad monitor.
The PC can also be bad VGA chips, or worse,.

your first failing here is not saying why you are using VGA jack
is the Laptop screen dead too> (my other shoe falls off)
dang that be nice to know , no?
or like we do run that VGA to a projector? for say doing power point presentations, (done many before retired)
RTM, the manual is free to read any time of day, 24/7
each PC maker uses there own rules here, its there call
there design and their rules.
my HP its, Fn+F4, (toggle:, internal, external ,both or auto)
but yours is Samsung, ask them. or learn to use google?

Keeps saying "no signal -

I'm not sure what you are plugging this into, or through what type of connection; but if it is plugged into VGA make sure none of the pins are bent on either side of the cord, also make sure it is set to pick up the signal from the right input. If you need anymore assistance with this please let me know.

Monitor goes to sleep no input signal only 1 mo old

Normaly the monitor is not picking up the signal from the PC, it could be VGA cord is not connected, faulty, or the video card is faulty,or the monitor is not compatible to the PC. It could be one of my suggestions. Trouble shoot by connecting your monitor to another working PC and see what happens. If not the VGA cord is faulty and not picking up signal from the PC. Hope it helps.

The computer will power up, however, the monitor will stay black and say "Monitor going to sleep." It works sometimes, but the screen will get look really pixally.

Check the cord between your monitor and the computer, and try replacing it.
you could also try installing the latest graphics driver for your pc
