Please helf I need the tv code for a philips tv? model # 27st220l/17 serial # ya1a0406002604 I got this tv from a friend who worked at a hotel and they were selling them. I think the tv has already been unlocked by the "green remote" but I cant find a code that works for this tv from a rca remote?
i just bought a philips 27 st220L/17. I checked out TV at seller's house via their 'rabbit ears', and reception was decent for that. When I got home, and connected to my digital attenna, the reception was almost non existant. There was no remote provided, and there is no front panel button to manually set-up TV. I'm gonna buy remote tomorrow, but feel like I should be at least receive comparable signal with my expensive 'rabbit ears', that work well on other TV's I've used then on. Is there something else that has to be set-up/programmed on TV to allow me to receive normal signal reception?i just bought a philips 27 st220L/17. sorry, it wont go away, bet ya got it cheap huh(nothing intended by cheap) but the tv hotel mode is telling you that its a special tuner made for just hotels, the only way to get around this is if you can replace the hotel type tuner on the main-board with a normal type tuner, it'll cost more than you paid though.good luck,a friend of mine bought 12 of then at $25 each, boy he thought what a deal, now he's really crying and they didn't tell him,and they won't refund his money
I don't think you need a tv card your universal remote is probably not set up right
what is the remote type and on the remote tv button needs too be pushed
give me remote type and i'll try to resolve
You could have several problems. 1) if it was a commercial set was there a pay system custom board in or attatched to the set to keep movies off the set is it removed? 2) if the commercial board was removed where was the original insert? My experience is hotels don't know what they need it for and throw out the spare parts that are useful when the site upgrades tvs. 3) if the commercial mode is set then it gives priority over to the vendor board. The green philips rd2573 is the installation remote needed to reset the tv to allow residential use. Its been around for years should cost about $45 if its not out of stock. And that's only the start of your problems....what model type is it does it have a tv tuner or is it a strict monitor....I only addressed the common issues. Bottom line 1-800-philips may be able to help
