When I plug it in and turn it on it blinks green to turn off red. What is the problem.

If it's blinking green it means it's on mute. Unmute it and you should have solid green. It doesn't turn red.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. make sure red 4 pin plug is plugged in and not loose if ok then open up the antenna box see if red and green lights are blinking shut everything off then turn back on then turn on PDA see if lights are blinking should connect

It sounds like it might just be a case of the button being stuck. The ESC shouldn't turn on just from you plugging in the battery, you're supposed to have to press the button once the battery's connected to power up the ESC.

the green is the reboot process and is normal.
the red light is an error code indicator.
count the blinks of the red light...it cant be 30 times (I think)
it will blink a sequence, pause, then do it again for a total of three times.
count carefully, it gives you three chances to catch the number it is blinking.

It sounds like your lamp may need replacing. Before you go that route try all of these:
-Make sure the lamp cover on the bottom is fully attached. -If you unplug the power cord while the fan is rotating, the lamp may not turn on about 1 minute when you plug the power cord next time. After the status indicator stops blinking press the power button to turn it back on. May have to press it multiple times. -If your Power Light continues to blink red/green then you should contact your dealer.

Hi,
Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655.
Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen.
Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure.
Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem.
Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years?

yeah, should stay red when unit is turned off, indicating there's power but it's doing nothing.

Per user manual:
Solid red - power off (standby mode)
blinking red - power off (now cooling)
blinking green - power on (preparing to light lamp)
solid green - power on

the steady red light showing when in charger shows that
it is charging. the blinking red light when taken out of
charger or turned on and off means it is not fully charged.
leave it in charger till red light turns green.
