I've spent two separate nights trying to find this battery using the Sony part number. Search results at the Sony website yielded nothing. A replacement battery that I ordered (not Sony made, but from another company saying it would fit my headphone model) had to be forced into place and would not activate the charger.

Why does my car's battery keep on continuing to need to be recharged?

The battery needs to be replaced or the alternator is bad. I would try to replace the battery in your car first to see if that fixes the problem. If our car is still not starting up or if the battery keeps on needing to be recharge then the alternator is bad and should be replaced.

My vacuum runs down quickly. What is the best way to charge it up. I plug it in after using it every time ?

Hello, Janrt -

Depending upon how old the vacuum cleaner is, the rechargeable battery may need to be replaced so that the battery will hold a charge longer than it does now.

Rechargeable batteries do not last forever.

You will need to find the right replacement rechargeable battery for your vacuum cleaner. The web site for the maker of your vacuum may offer the right replacement batteries for sale.

Note: I have found that some replacement rechargeable batteries for some items cost more than the price of purchasing a replacement appliance.

Best wishes.

Battery not charging

Hello, Lynda -

Even rechargeable batteries eventually lose their ability to recharge.

You probably need to purchase and install a new rechargeable battery for your computer.

The manufacturer of your computer probably sells the correct replacement battery for your computer.

Note: You need to make sure you purchase the right replacement battery.

Rechargeable batteries, especially the Nickel-Cadmium type (NiCad) suffer from a phenomenon known as "memory". If they are routinely discharged only partially then put back on charge they will eventually "remember" this duty cycle and work only a few minutes before needing to be recharged. This can sometimes be reversed, but doing so is not always easy. The newer NiMh (Nickel Metal-Hydride) batteries have mostly overcome this problem, but shallow-cycling your rechargeable batteries is still not a good idea. It's also a possibility that your batteries are worn out and need to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries can only be recharged a certain number of times before they go bad. With top quality batteries and a proper charge/discharge cycle, you can occasionally get up to 1000 charge/discharge cycles out of them. With so much of this stuff coming from China these days it is becoming increasingly difficult to find really good rechargeable batteries.

If these are lead-acid batteries, then the symptom you describe indicates that replacement is likely needed.

Dead battery

Be sure to charge your batteries fully before installing them. If the batteries are non-rechargeable, dispose of the old batteries properly, and then replace them.
Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge/discharge cycles before they become exhausted. If your rechargeable batteries are dead after a full charge cycle, they may also need to be replaced.

The braun 5510 shaver.. rechargeable or not

If working properly, model 5510 will work either from the internal rechargeable batteries or directly from the cord. If your shaver no longer recharges, it needs to have the rechargeable batteries replaced.

Printer will not charge camera batteries. camera screen said to go on line and look for m627-435

Did you go online and look up this troubleshooting tip from HP?  Did you make sure the batteries are rechargeable and in the correct orientation ( + and - )? Here is the results from looking up the error code M627-435 at the HP website:
Solution
  1. Ensure that the batteries are rechargeable. If the batteries are not rechargeable, replace them with rechargeable batteries.
  2. If the batteries are rechargeable, take them out and check for obvious physical damage. If the batteries are damaged, replace the batteries with rechargeable batteries in good physical condition.
  3. If the batteries are in good condition, charge the batteries using the external charger that shipped with the camera before using them in the camera for the first time.
  4. If you have tried each of the steps above and the status message still displays when you try to charge the batteries, replace the batteries.
Cause The Batteries cannot be charged status message is usually caused by one of the following:
  • When first connected to an optional HP AC power adapter or placed on an optional dock, the camera performs a test to determine if the batteries are rechargeable. If the test determines that the batteries are non-rechargeable, an status message displays in the LCD.
  • If the battery charge falls below 1.1 volts, the camera cannot detect that the batteries are rechargeable. The camera does not charge batteries below a 1.1-volt threshold to prevent charging non-rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries discharged below 1.1 volts can be charged in an external charger.
Apparently, your batteries are either seriously discharged where you need to use an external AC charger to recharge the batteries or their damagaed and need replacing. Hope this helps.
