Hello, charging process of a laptop will produce some heating underneath the laptop, the connector will gain some of that heat, and also if the connector is next to the CPU exhaust vent it will definitely gains more heat. its is designed to work that way
if you understand my point and if you think this not the case,

  • do you feel more heat than it use to be before?
  • did you accidentally damaged the connector or dropped down the laptop?
damage to the laptop can cause short circuit or lose connections but this also can happen after years of usage (lose connection can happen in the power connector due to wear out of laptop power socket),
  1. short circuit is there is contact with each of the power line
  2. lose connection in power connection will make bad passage for the current flow.
this will generate heat and this is a very dangerous condition. You need immediate checkup of the entire laptop.

My smpk4083 wont charge

It can be 1 of 4 things. 1: the way your charging it. 2: the cable. 3: the battery. 4: the conection on your device.
1: Try charging it different ways. (Different wall outlet, laptop, computer, etc.) (Note: some laptops and/or computers might not have a strong enough charge to recharge certain devices. You'd have to adjust the power setting in the control panel or the manufacturers setings.)
2: Try using a different cable. (If you don't have one try wigleing both ends to see if you get a charge.)
3. Try another battery. (Most people overcharge batteries thus shortening the recharging capabilities.)
4. Check to see if any of the pins are messed up or missing on where you plug the wire into your device. (If any are missing you can open it up and replace the part.) Sometimes people end up pushing them in by accident when they conect there charger, so the wire doesn't make a good conection after a while (another case where wiggleing the wire could work).

Hello. I do not use my rx330 frecuently,to keep my battery charged may l use a battery maintainer conected directly to the battery car or l have to keep conected to the battery without the car. How can l...

if your battery maintainer(charger)has the capability to charge from a higher charge to lower charge as the battery gets charged up and shut off when proper voltage is attained then you can leave the battery in the car as every time you disconnect it you have to reset everything in the car.some now can detect when to turn off and turn on as the car sits and voltage drops to low.don`t know which ones do and don`t someone may be able to answer that if they know about them.

It wont crank like not getting power

ok sounds like you have a dead battery
1) if turns but slowly:

posible causes:
1.1) old dead batery/
or underchaged battery >check altenator in this case

did you leave your headlights turnt on and drained the battery of its charge?if so get a jump start and then run the car for 30-45 mins to rechagre the battery

if you have at your disposal anothere batery that you know has a good charge
try starting your car with that batery(not using jumper cables) hook it up!
if the slugish turn over is still there

1.2) check your wire conections for corision this means completly disconecting 1 lead at a time (only on one end of that lead)and cleaning them with a wire brush or some sand paper.
(on the battery and the starter also the ground strap conection to the frame.)

2) WONT TURN OVER AT ALL:
posible causes:
2.0) dead battery >try charging it>get a jump start
2.1) blown turnkey igntion fuse
2.2) blow fuse for main har nes wires
2.3) bad starter
2.4) corosion on wire conection (most often the batery terminals)
2.5) starter replaced and hooked up incorectly.

2.6) alram system preventing the turnkey igntion system from getting power

Charger adapter and battery get warm but charger light won't come on. Batteries don't charge any more. Are there supposed to be 2 or 3 charger contacts in the charger? Mine only has 2 but the batteries...

This could be an indication of a bad cell in the pack. As nicad batteries get older they will sometimes short internally do to oxide buildup. If one or more cells are bad the pack as a whole will pull more current from the charger which in turn could cause it to heat up. Most newer chargers have 3 contacts. The 3rd contact is normally conected to a diode inside the pack. The chargers circuitry monitors the batteries temp by measuring the voltage drop on the diode.

Hopefully this may give some insite.

Battery charging problems

check all leads coming from the battery with an ohm meter, should read zero, no resistance, make sure you do this test with the battery dis-conected otherwise you can burn out the meter or the fuse in the meter. if you need more help get back to me.

My phone keeps saying the battery is invalid...

You might have a 'cooked' battery. If they are left charging for prolonged periods, the battery is heated and charged excessively, and will no longer work properly if even at all. You may need to purchase a new one.
If not it is the conection to the battery that is in the phone itself.

Battery charge indicator seems faulty.

Solved own problem. Bad conection between pcb and battery contact pins. Reheat each battery pin on the pcb carefully until solder reflow occurs then remove heat. PDA now repaired
