SOURCE: washing machine problem

at the back of the conditioner compartment there is a syphon. check the tube of the syphon is clear. put on rinse and at the point the conditioner should be taken, open the drawer and check that there is a jet of water into the conditioner area. if not, there are some holes in the roof of the top of the box. these may be blocked. clear with a hairpin or similiar

SOURCE: Fabric conditioner drawer

Try cleaning inside the the machine where the soap dispenser drawer fits into. Sometimes this builds up with lots of soap and fabric conditioner residue and stops the conditioner from going through.
Take the drawer back out and look inside where it goes to see if there is a build up of soap etc...
hope this helps

SOURCE: fabric conditioner drawer does not empty

The inlet to the conditioner compartment is probably blocked.
Get a thin piece of flexible wire and make a right angled bend on the end about 1" long, and poke it into all the holes u can see in the top of the dispenser compartment, particularly the ones at the front right side.
This should solve the prob.
Plz rate this solution .
Thanks

SOURCE: My Zanussi ZWF1430W won't take fabric conditioner

Sometimes the drawer gets blocked with congealed fabric conditioner and or old soap powder, try removing the drawer and giving it a good wash. An old toothbrush is useful to get in the small areas. To remove the drawer: Pull the drawer out as far as possible, there is a small depression on the left hand side at the top of the drawer, about the size of a fingertip press the depression to release the drawer, and pull the drawer out. To relocate, line the drawer up, and place the long thin piece of plastic on the left hand side in the corresponding slot in the top of the drawer opening, you might have to kneel down to see it and slide the drawer in, you might have to press the depression again to pushe it home.

Foisty smell coming from underneath the washing machine.

Hi.

Check the drain filter. The filter should be located behind the trim at the base in the front side of the machine. The filter is protected by a cap.Unscrew the cap and have a container ready to collect water. Remove blockage from the drain filter and refit parts in reverse order.

Disconnect power before starting the whole procedure.

If that does not work, then the smell may be in consequence of mold inside the tub, usually on rubber part. In that case use a product like this to clean the machine: 32 Oz Spin Fresh.

I do not seem to be able to undo the filter on my whirlpool washing machine, does it just unscrew, or unscrew and pull. I can unscrew it, but it does not pull out.

Hi, Unplug the machine. Take a cake pan and put it under the handle for the filter. Unscrew counterclockwise slowly. Water will start to come out. When pan is partially full, retighten filter and dump water. Repeat until no more water comes out. Then completely unscrew filter and pull out and clean. Hope this helps.

My front loader does not drain completely, water can be heard when i manually spin drum...how can i check the hose?

Have you checked that the filter is not blocked. The filter is normally accessible via a flap at the bottom of the front panel of the machine. Open the flap and unscrew the filter housing, withdraw the filter and clean it thoroughly.

Hi my washing machine starts but afta 5-10 minutes it keeps tellin me to clean pump... how do i do that and where is the pump?

Try cleaning the filter first. The filter is behind a flap on the lower part of the front panel of the machine. The flap is normally opened by pushing at one side - then unscrew the cap that is behind the flap and withdraw the filter. Clean it thoroughly and replace.
If this does not work you will need to remove and clean the pump itself, which is accessed from beneath the machine, but this is a more major job.

How do i clean the filter in my samsung clothes washer

Hi there. There should be a little door flap at the front down low or at the side or rear that you can open & unscrew the cap.you can clean out things that get caught there.Try to make sure the machine has no water in it first because any water will gush out on floor.unplug machine as well.there might be a little tube for draining excess water into a container before opening the cap.or just lay couple of towel down.hope this was helpful.

My miele novotronic W 1918 has a bad smell. Is there a filter that i should clean? Can't find it.

There is a fluff filter in the bottom left hand corner behind the flap. have a small tray, like a baking tray underneath it and open the flap with a flat lever or the miele yellow key. Turn the tap about 1/4 of a turn and collect about a litre of water from the unit. when it has stopped draining unscrew the tap all the way out and clean the fluff filter which is the tap in your hand. also have a look in the hole and you will see the drain pump. make sure this is free of any foreign particles and then re-screw the tap back making sure it is tight.
To avoid the smell in the unit run the machine on a few 95c washes. you can use a cleaner or just white vinegar as a cleaning agent. after every wash keep the door open for about 30 mins to let it dry out as shutting the door is then a perfect enviroment for bacteria to develop and the smell.

Also check the door seal for any foreign particles every wash.

Hope this helps.

Try two things: Add several cups bleach to the tub and run it a complete cycle. When not in use, leave the door open so it will air out.

Inside of Washer Smells

often in washing machines there is a drain trap which needs cleaning out from time to time, (usually accessible from the front behind a removable facia) The manual should tell you how to clean this. you need to drain the water first (as there is often a little water still in the system). if you look on the program dial there is often an item that has an arrow pointing down, this should be the drain program, after this is done you can remove the draining cover and clean the workings inside, hopefullt this will solve your problem :)
