Hi my name is Susanna and I own a Yamaha DTXtreme iis and whenever I turn the power on the screen shows this message: WARNING:DATA INITIALISING PLEASE PRESS ENTER. Then all my memory of the user programmes are deleted. A few months ago I had contacted Yamaha with this problem and I was asked to change the battery. Battery has now already been changed and I still get this message and the same thing happens all my saved data deleted. The machine has been reset as well. Yesterday I also had another message on the screen-WARNING: BATTERY LOW VOLTAGE. So please help me in figuring this out. I love this product but not sure why the battery change did not help the problems. Hope to hear from you soon. Susanna

I am having this same problem. I've replaced the battery (hard to get to btw) and the problem went away. Within about a month though, the problem came back. I'm wondering if there isn't some kind of short that is draining my battery when not in use? Any ideas?

Probably the battery replacement was NOT done correctly or there is a problem with the battery voltage getting to the memory.
The original message was probably the result of the unit detecting the data was corrupted due to the backup battery not maintaining the memory.

The CORRECT Lithium cell for this unit is a CR2450

This is NOT a common available cell and LIKELY the person installed a readily available one which is not working.

Here is link to a supplier:

http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=N340-ND

This cell is thicker than the commonly available cells and if the readily available was installed, it would not make contact. Open the unit and check the cell in the holder at BT1 on the board.

Here is service manual which has disassembly instructions.

Need schematic for Yamaha GA 15 ii guitar amplifier please. Thanks Phil

Hi Phil! If you find the schematic for Yamaha GA 15 ii, please let me know as I was looking for it as well. I was playing the guitar for a long time but due to all this college stuff, I had no opportunity to play the music at all and then my friend asked why not try these out and I have paid a professional writer to do my homework. Thanks to this writing service, I have time to play guitar but now I cannot find a schematic for Yamaha GA 15 II guitar amplifier.

Yamaha 9000pro, Ps is ok but unit will not boot

You may need to perform a factory reset operation. Turn power off, hold down the DEMO button and turn the keyboard back on. The
screen should display 'Setup is initialising'. This will disappear after a few seconds and the screen will display its default. If that does not work you may need to re-install program disks, I think you should have 6 of them

It turns on but there is nothing showing on the screen.

There is a contrast control that will totally blank the display. Read your users manual page 25. Adjust the control as needed for visibility.

The Sustain pedal does not work.

When push comes to shove, a factory reset never hurts.

Assuming you'd like to proceed with a factory reset, follow these steps:

This procedure makes it possible to restore the S08 to the original factory-installed Internal Voices, Multis and System settings.

WARNING: The current settings for all Multis and User Voices will be deleted. If the current settings and data are not expendable, create a backup before executing the Factory Reset.

1) Press the [UTILITY] button.

2) Press the [JOB] button. The 'FactorySet' screen will be displayed.

3) Press the [ENTER] button. The 'Sure?' message prompt will appear.

4) Press the [INC/YES] button to execute the Factory Reset. The 'Completed!' message will be displayed to indicate the procedure has been successfully executed.

5) Press the [EXIT] button to return to the Utility Mode.

Yamaha DTXtreme IIS Drum Moduel repair

Listen to the output with headphones to check for noise.

OFTEN the output of a drum machine is CORRUPTED by an inadequate sound system. The waveforms generated by a drum machine tax the sound systems. A bass drum output can drive the speaker cone such that it goes beyond the linear range that the speaker and amplifier can handle and this appears as "noise". The noise may sound like a buzz or totally break up.

Turn the volume down and see if EXACTLY the same noise appears at low levels. If not, then saturation of the amp and speaker is likely. Continued use while it is doing that will often destroy the speaker.
