It seems like almost no-one ever pays the reward they set for their problem. I don't mind giving free advice, but I don't want this to be a complete waste of my time. how can i remedy this?

There is no remedy. This is the way it works.

I am an old expert and it is the same with me. Today I started about five or six hours ago and I did one single premium question and a couple of un-claimed bid questions. I won't probably earn anything.
In a lucky day you may earn more , but you cannot expect to earn a real salary. There are posters that try to use the system loopholes to earn money. Those may earn few extra coins, but some of them gets banned from time to time.
Last year it was a bit better. Crowd-sourcing is still in its innovation phase. This is what we got right now.

I would try to find other motivations for giving answers (helping others, showing your skills, the pleasure of winning a challenge etc.), and to welcome the rewards when they come. That is what I am trying to do.

Sincerely.

Ginko ( Skilled tech with about 18000 Fixya answers).

Hi Ted,You're referring to Marketplace Questions. While I totally understand your sentiments, I do want to clear up a misconception:When you post a solution to a Marketplace Question, the asker is notified that you have responded, but must pay to view the question. If they do not pay, they cannot see it right away. If the asker doesn't pay to view your question, we will post it as a free question after 7 days. This is done so that you will receive credit for the free solution. Granted, an asker could hypothetically wait for 7 days then view your solution for free. But this is unlikely to occur as this process is not common knowledge and few askers would go to those lengths for some free advice. If you are interested in earning money on FixYa, you should check out our Premium Support, Premium Phone Support, and Premium Tips systems. You can read about them here- http://www.fixya.com/support/r4153283-get_started_earning_money_fixya Please feel free to contact our Support Team directly at: http://www.fixya.com/contact

I need pay bill

have you been doing this payment for a long time
seems strange that you are paying a rewards scheme
I suggest that the account number is too long for a regular account number and that indicates that you are being asked to pay a scam

Why do I need to pay for you to answer a question on your equipment?. The site said free information.

Since you just posted in the free area, you don't have to pay for it. Also bear in mind that FixYa does not make nor sell any equipment, including GE cordless phones.

Obviously.., i don't have a key.., would you mind giving me key for it guys?? pllssssssss.....

You haven't even said which operating system you use. They key costs and I doubt somebody will give it to you for free. Try free operating systems if you don't want to pay. Use google to find Ubuntu, its a linux distribution. Just google for "ubuntu download" or something like that.

Is this free service?I don't have the credit card right now.

Hi there,
If you're posting a question in here, then yes the service won't cost you a penny. However, there are certain aspects of this site that will ask if you want an answer from a premium expert. That will cost you extra.

The website won't charge you anything without informing you first, even if you provide your credit card information.

Why does no one rank my solutions? iv given solutions for over 30 different problems and not one person has responded. and do people who post rewards for helping them just look at the solution then not...

Maybe 90% of the people that ask questions here, do not come back to see the solutions we give. And yes, many people do not respond so they wouldn't have to pay, but you will get others who will gladly pay you if your answer complies with the Fixya guideline and is helpful for them. You are on the right path, keep answer questions if you can as quick as they are answered because a guy that asked something 2 years ago definitely will not come back to see the solution after that much time has passed.
