Kodak Easyshare G600 printer dock problem!

Upon removing the old 'ink cartridge' after it was empty, as always, I tried to reinstall a new one to no avail. It appears the piece that comes down when printing a picture is stuck in the down position and will not allow a new cartridge to be inserted! Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks
Brenda

Ink cartridge stuck printer

The manual says: To remove the cartridge, push up on the Cartridge-release tab then pull out the cartridge. It looks like a green lever to me, you have to push.

How do you get the ink cartridge out of the printer

  1. Unplug your Kodak Photo Dock's power cord. Pull the black tab on the right side of the printer down to open the ink cartridge door.
  2. 2 Push up on the green cartridge release tab in the upper center of the ink cartridge to release the old cartridge. Pull the old ink cartridge carefully from the Photo Dock.
  3. 3 Rotate the new ink cartridge's ribbon wheel on the side of the cartridge clockwise with your finger to remove any slack in the film. Do not rotate the wheel too much---this will damage the cartridge.
  4. 4 Insert the new ink cartridge into the Photo Dock with ribbon film facing down until you hear the cartridge click in place. The ink cartridge will only go in one way.

Do not touch the ribbon with your fingers. Handle the cartridge by its edges.
  5. 5 Close the ink cartridge door and plug in your Kodak Photo Dock's power cord.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });

G600 printer dock used about 6 months ago. Only

Yes, maybe the ink dry out. Try a deep cleaning several times, from the printer options.
If you don't use the printer, you should weekly print a test page to avoid this problem.

Kodak #G600 printer dock/roller won't pull paper through

I read this solution to a problem someone else was having which was similar to my problem. I wiped off the roller with a damp cloth, made sure it was dry and that's all it took to allow the roller to be able to start to pull the paper through. - thanks for the help!

Can not remove ink cartridge in Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock

Turn the power off. Hold down the transfer button, on the left side, and at the same time hold down the left arrow button, on the right side. Holding both buttons, turn power on. You should hear it recycle. After it stops, push in the cartridge in until it locks. Then you should be able to release the catch and remove the cartridge. I had the same problem, found this on the web and it worked for me. Hope it does for you, too.

Ink cartridge is empty and I can not remove it to change it. It won't come out!

Press the power button to turn off the printer. Hold down the transfer and left arrow button at the same time. While holding them down at the same time turn on the power button. Let it go through the initialization process and once completed, the head should be in the up position. Open the cartridge door and push the cartridge to make sure it is latched and locked in place. Once the cartridge is latched, release the latch and the cartridge should release itself. Remove the cartridge from the printer.
