I bought a hotel tv that does not receive all the cable channels.How do I reprogram it to get all the channels? The menu botton does not give me the option to program channels with the universal remote!

Ii am in the same boat only I have Zenith TVs that I purchased from a liquidation of a major hotel chain. The cost of the TVs was very reasonable, but I cannot get into the menu function to change the settings there. I have Zenith H2505BT and H2530Y. Can anyone help me with securing a remote for these units.

For phillips tvs that come out of a hotel try this code with RCA universal remote. the big remote not a small remote. 319753 followed immediately by the mute button. this will pull up the tv setup menu.

Most of the Hotel sets use a different remote to enter the hidden menus--the system that set uses was likely on channel 81 and where it was used they needed it to come on at a specific time----going to get that specific service remote and info on how to change settings---this is the issue with buying these commercial sets.
Zenith is part of LG but different phone numbers etc
The menu inthe remote is taken off from the remote control pad as the management does not want clients to keep tuning or change program settings which can result in customers calling for technical help all the time.
So if you are in a hotel just call up room service as they can come over with a regular remote to help? but then if all channels on the cable is seen , what is the need for?
Did you try to call LG/Zenith customer support and see if they can help you? If not find your nearest LG/Zenith service center (not Best Buy) preferably a small service shop to see if they have a service remote to unlock it
If this has been a hotel TV then you cannot tune it in manually as the Hotel Mode will be activated & can only be re set to normal TV use by using a specific code from the remote control. The only other way is to re-initialise the internal memory using software that is only obtainable from a Philips dealer.
You have a hotel/motel model that cannot be programmed or any of the settings changed without a special Master remote. Sorry, doubt that you can buy one from the store, they are not sold to the public. Contact the hotel where you bought the set and try to get the model number for the remote from them. This is a different number than the model number of your tv.
I doubt the TV even has a tuner if it is designed for a hotel. It may be a "dumb" receiver, nothing else. Do to channel 2 and then press the down arrow for channel, does it flip to 138 or AV1?
I had the same problem the solution is you have to get institutional remote and reset the tv from commercial mode to consumer mode and then you will have access to the full menu. go to www.phillipsitv.com to get the directions. I actually asked a Hotel could I borrow their master remote used it and took it back and my tv works fine. Hope this helps.
