Maytag toploader Neptune washer stops with 10 minutes left on quick wash and code "uc" on LED. There is a little water left in bottom of tub and cloths are soaked. It does fine until the spin...

It sounds like the Outer Bearings are going due to a leaky Tub Seal. Bothe can be repaired and have done on this site. This site has no way to reference past post to machine issues.

I have helped owners of theFAV6800A and FAV9800A machines here but I prefer a tru DIY site.

I no longer post on this site no way to post a Sticky for machine issues.

If you want to DIY the repair Google this phrase ""Sticky: Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW""" Read the post Part 1; DC or UC unbalance error codes in Spin Cycle what is causing this issue? Part 2 for the fix action.

Post your issue in the repair forum not in the Sticky. Please include your Model Number i.e. FAV6800A or FAV9800A and I will help you.

My washer makes a squealing noise after it has filled with water

maybe the Clutch Pulley One-Roller Clutch bearing is rusted/frozen up. How handy are you?

See this post of what it takes to remove the Clutch Pulley. Servicematters.com has locked down the link to the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual. If you are going to DIY you need the SM

Take a look at this post Clutch Fix it will help you remove the front panel and observe if the motor is locked up as you complete the water fill cycle and enter wash/agitate cycle (tumblers rotating).

You will notice the wast basket is spun CCW slow RPM on the initial water fill cycle. In wash cycle the Motor will spin the clutch pulley CW and I feel your Clutch One-Way Roller clutch bearings are froze up causing drive belt squeal.............Rich

Pic of the Clutch pulley removed follow all saftey warnings in the Sm if you can find.

Makes a loud squealing noise for several seconds and then it will correct itself, it is starting to get for frequent... any ideas?

Is this in Spin Cycle or wash agitate cycle.

If Spin Cycle then possible Outer Tub Bearing issue. Big job but most DIY types can deal with the repair if you can deal with some down time........but need more info on the issue.

Making a loud noise when washing

Is this a FAV6800A LED console model or a FAV9800A LCD console model?

You are in the Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer forum and if it's one of those I would give you machine specific info to DIY the repair.

Which machine model?

My maytag neptune top loading washing machine when washing sounds like there are belts squealing and the washer tub seems to hit the sides of the machine when spinning what is going on?

This sounds like a possible Clutch issue. Is the machine model an FAV6800A or FAV9800A?

When the washer is banging around do you take unbalance errors such as dC or uC?

Do you want to DIY the fix or call in a repair service. If you could confirm your machine model number......Rich

Maytag washer goes out of balance with any size load.noticed leaky shock on one side did all service checks all ok,add some clothing and it starts to rock

This is common problem with the FAV6800AW and FVA9800AW.

See this post for a fix and if you can DIY you will save some $.

I will try to help you through the issue. If you call in a repair service you are looking at $300 - $350 for clutch repacement.

Will your FAV6800A shut down with unbalance errors such as dc or UC?

What is the leaky sock, is that from water around the base of the machine?
