Hi gyengestefan, you need to "Update the Driver / Software!" "Select the [Drivers] you need from the "List." "Download the Drivers!" !Important: "Take a 'moment to rate the help', so I can get 'credit' for the work. Thank you!" - paul7of9
"Go to this "Website!"
Fill-in necessary information.
ie: Model #, Brand, and or Operating System...
"I could have given a "Thousands" Senarios / Reasons / Hypothesis / Theories; why its not working!"
"I gave (1); a solution to fix the Problem!"
I receive lots of laptops with this problem and its mostly down to spillages ,coke cola is the worst possible liguid that can be spilled but still people drink it coffee tea whatever it may be very easy to clean though if liquid manages to hit the motherboard then you have a serious problem like blue screen etc .
This 'comment' is for FixYa! So my understanding is; -10 is {subtracted} for "Not Helpful: Solutions!" But! When the "Solution is Very Helpful! = 5 or < LESS!" ? Is this "Correct"!? I have another ?Question? Do a number between a (100 to 1000) people respond quicker, and more to "Solution that do not help!" In comparison to the "Solutons that do?"

SOURCE: key board don't work on
Hello,
If your keyboard won't work, then it means you will have to do replace it. But before that, you will have to check first if the keyboard isn't disabled on your PC.
Go to Start > Control Panel > Keyboard.
Select hardware, select your keyboard name, then click properties. Click Change settings, click drivers and check if your keyboard was uninstalled or disabled. If it was disabled, you can enable it.
But if the above isn't the cause of the problem, get a USB keyboard (external keyboard), insert it into the USB port of your Toshiba protege m400 and it should work pending the time you have your keyboard replaced.
Good luck.
