Normally you have to tell the program (Quickbooks) to print Landscape and then you tell the Printer in Properties to print Landscape.
I just had the same in Publisher to a Canon MFP MG1720.
From the QuickBooks File menu, select Printer Setup. Click the Form Name drop-down and choose Report. Click the Options button next to the Printer name field to open your printer properties window. Go to the Finishing tab and in the Orientation section, select Portrait or Landscape.
Go into the print driver and the machine settings and make sure the paper size and direction are all in agreement with each out and the paper in the tray itself. If screen icons do not agree with the size and direction of the paper in the tray you will have a lot of weird problems.
Please follow the steps below on how to print on an envelope:
The print side of the envelope is faceup.
The paper guides rest against the edges of the envelopes.
You print the envelopes with Landscape orientation. Note: If you are mailing within Japan, then the envelope can be printed in Portrait orientation with the stamp in the lower right corner or in Landscape orientation with the stamp in the lower left corner. If you are mailing internationally, then print in Landscape orientation with the stamp in the upper left corner.
You select the correct envelope size. Select the next biggest size if the exact envelope size is not listed, and set the left and right margins so your envelope is correctly positioned.
Try selecting LANDSCAPE as opposed to PORTRAIT by using the proper print menu in your application rather than the simple print icon from most tool-bars.
at the adobe print preview screen, does the preview agree with your desired print? if yes, then is "choose paper source by pdf page size" checked on? and is "Auto-rotate and center" checked on?
