Since we both cannot read Japanese, it may be necessary to simply go to what looks like the menu options and mess with it until it changes language. As long as you are in menu options, you will find the language option listed. Just fiddle with it as much as you can under settings. Once it is in english you may revery changes effortlessly :)

My question: I bout a lumix dmc tz10 digital camera in japan and I esk you if I can change the language (japan to english or german or portuguese). Must I introduce a new firmware if exist?
The language setting is the last option on the setup menu. Press menu, then right side of the rocker for setup, then up for language, then right to set and up or down to select English, then menu to exit.

On most Lumix cameras, go into the setup menu and it's the next to last entry...."language". Click on the entries in the sub-menu until you see the wore "english".

I bought lumix DMC TZ10 from Japan , it supports japnese only is there a solution for transfering it to English
The only solution is to learn japanese. I asked at the store - since the prices are considerably lower than in Europe - and was told by the competent clerk that only some Sony and Cannon cameras have a dual mode, i.e. Japanese and English

How do you change language from French to English on TZ7
It can be changed in the "setup" menu. You probably will have to scroll through the sub-menus to find the word "english". Click on it and the "set" button.

DMC-TZ7 -I have a Japanese version and I need an English manual - or better still - is there any way I can get english instructions onscreen instead of the Japanese gibberish?
for instructions manual i can help then u can go thru enlgish manual and see from pictorial guidance if u can change the interface lang to english instead of japanese which u can do easily if option is provided becoz menu design is same let me know if i can help more on this
