What size are the tweeters in a 2000 gmc sierra extended cab truck? In the door, there are 2 sets of speakers. The 6 3/4" and another smaller pair. What is the size of the smaller set? I have a 2000 GMC Sierra SLT 4-door.

Hello.. the tweeters in the doors are 1 inch tweeters, but they have a large housing. Every set that I have come across are usually hanging because the 2 plastic nipples that go through the panel break off. They have a self-threading bolt on the back and they all eventually come off. You can rotate the tweeter slightly and run a panhead screw with a stinger tip to keep them up. If you are adding a pair of tweeters, just leave those in the door panel and just remove the metal grille that covers the speakers and add them next to the factory ones. You can just wire them in with the factory wiring. Just be sure to wire it on the door panel clip side so you can remove the door panel without having to cut the wires every time. You will have to remove the panel to gain access to removing the metal grille on the panel. Hope this helps! Good luck with your venture!

What factory size speakers come in a 97 yukon

They vary. Most Yukons and Tahoes had standard 6" (or 5-3/4") front door woofers and 1" tweeters in panels on the door switch clusters in 2-door models, and in 4-door models, those plus an additional pair of 6" (or 5-3/4") 2-way speakers in the back passenger doors, and in 2- and 4-door models with the premium sound package, they also had 4X10 oval speakers in the rear roof by the cargo door(s). These 4X10's were 3-way speakers.
