Restart your laptop, as soon as it powers on (even before you see the logo), repeatedly tap on F8 to get to the advanced boot menu. Select the option for Last Known Good Configuration and see if it would boot up. If not, Repeat the procedure but this thime, choose safe mode. If you're able to boot to safe mode, you can just do a system restore to a date when it was working fine.
Sounds like the keyboard is your main problem and the source of all your woes. I'll give you a link below for the service manual that will guide you through the process of replacing the keyboard. just copy and paste the link in your address bar of your internet browser. Try to do fixboot.
Boot your computer from the installation disk,Enter in to the Recovery console by pressing
"R" when prompted>type the administrator password if any or in most of the cases its Blank
so just press Enter>on command prompt type,-"fixboot">restart windows normally once done.
if "fixboot" doesn't work, follow the above steps and try "fixmbr" this time, now should be
working fine..
plz let me know if this solves your problem.
your feedback is appreciated :)
I take it you see the hard drive when you boot to vista cd. doing install can you remove partition and then create new partition format and install vista software. have you tried that if so sounds like your hard drive is working and can delete and reset drive partition index. if your crashing in post then you need to push the tab key when toshiba logo appears should switch showing post BIOS boot on screen all text you should try pressing the setup key as soon as you see the numloc light blink on your keyboard the driver is loaded press f2 then tab key to check post boot.
please let me if this helped you.
