Similar model Phillips tv made by foreign manufacturer for both Phillips and Magnavox may help you. Apparently very similar tv sets, so manual should be of assistance to you, although phone contact is for Phillips and not Magnavox.

Tries tv and cable box unplug,replug it back like about an hour.For the tv resetting itself and the cable box to upgraded it softwares.Go into the tv menu go to Audio SETUP.Go down to audio ressetting,these steps should solved ur problems,but not call ur cable companny replaced the reciever box,it have problems.

The tv just needs to be set to channel 3 or 4 to pick the signal up from the converter box.

The code for a Magnavox Converter *Analog to Digital* to a Philips Universal Remote is 0759

Assuming you have connected the DVR/Cable box with a standard co-axial antenna cable, switch on the box and go to the tuning menu on the TV.

When tuning is completed go through the channels to find the cable box. (Note: TV will not tune to the box if it is not switched on when tuning)

If there is still no connection, the DVR/Cable box may need connecting with a composite video cable (red / white / yellow RCA connectors), rather than just a standard co-ax cable.

The connection is at the front of the TV. There is no red connector on this TV so you will have to use an adaptor to connect both left and right (red & white) audio into the white socket. Select AV on the remote control.
