Remote Codes I have a RM-c18g remote that came with a newly purchased jvc tv model# lt-42e78. I cannot get the arrow buttons to work with the tv in the menue section. Some buttons do work, I've realized that I have the wrong remote for the tv... what can I do??

Just buy one RCA RCR311B model remote control. Your JVC is listed with its codes. The codes are:
1009, 1010, 1024, 1048, 1052, 1058, 1063, 1064, 1084, 1109, 1119, 1133, 1140, 1189
You will get all details and codes along with the new remote control. All proceedings to synchronise the remote with TV will be described there with the broshure you get with this device. OK.

Try unplugging for 2 mins. Or press power button for 30 seconds. Your Light in the tv might be shot.... happens every 5 or so years.
