Hi Geoloui,

If you're looking for the Magellan Maestro Applications you can download it here. Please click on the link below and you will be directed to the Magellan's official support download site. They all have the complete software application together with instructions on how to install them. Please follow the basic steps below on how to download the application.

1. Go to this site: Magellan

2. You need to download the Content Manager so your Magellan GPS navigator can deliver new map and updates and product information.

3. After downloading, install the Content Manager to your computer.

4. Turn on your GPS. You need to wait for the menu to appear then connect to your Computer using the USB cable provided.

5. Content manager will automatically prompt you about the update. If Content Manager does not prompt you, right click on the Content Manager icon located in the system tray and select "Check for updates now". Content Manager will inform you if you have the latest software already installed.

--> the system tray is located in the lower right hand corner of your computer screen near the clock.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

    Hi geoloui,

Do you still have the disc that came with your GPS? You need the disc so you can set up and create again "My GPS" folder in My documents. If you still have the disc please click the link below for additional information on how to install the disc.

Here's the link: Magellan user guide

    Hope it helps.

My magellan maestro dont boot up

Replace all the files manually.

Go to: www.magellangps.comsupport
search for the latest version 4.86
download it and save it in a folder

change Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1.exe TO Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1.ZIP
now, unzip Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1.ZIP to see the files.

you may need to drag & drop these files by hand onto the Magellen hard drive.
To see the files on your Magellan, plug it into your computer with a USB, and open the folder.

Lastly, try to run the update; double click on Setup.exe in folder
Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1
to see if it will then do all file updates for you, in case you missed any.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FROM ANOTHER THREAD:
I followed your directions above, and changed .exe to .zip: Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1.exe TO Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1.ZIP.

Then, I was able to unzip the files to see them. Then, I manually dragged all the exe files and all the dll files (i didn't bother with .bmp, .xml, or sound files). I had trouble with the file IVTDialorStrResChs.dll, and had to re-do this file and some others because I got a "file corrupt, can't copy" message. The second time, I got these to copy over.

After all this, I re-booted the Magellan. Then, I pluged it back into the computer using the USB so I could see the files again.

NOW, I ran Setup.exe by double clicking on this file in the open folder on my desktop (this is one of the files I unzipped under folder Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1).
It ran! I didn't need to be on the maps screen on the Magellan. Somehow, the file copies I did helped. This fixed the problem, I could see my home screen again Yeah!

The customer service guy at Magellen told me to download the lateset update, and to do it manually, if I could. At first, he tried to get me to spend $200 on a new Magellan!!
tip

Could not get this to work with a Magellan Maestro 3210 where the 2008-09 map...

1- Turn off unit.  2- press and hold the bottom right corner of the screen. 3-While still pressing and holding bottom right corner, press and hold power button and continue holding both until a white screen appears with a black dot. 4- follow the on screen directions and your unit will be back to the day you first got it.

Hi accidentaly remove application folder on Magellan maestro 3225 GPs now its can not hookup with my computer I save my GPS all file in my computer how how I reinstall application on GPS

If it won't connect then about all you can try is a hard reset. That will force it to reload all of the applications and reset it back to factory default condition. You would loose any waypoints and routes etc that you haven't saved but it should work just fine after that.

My gps device wont load.

if you mean you moved everything from the flash drive to the sd card, plug in your 3100 to your computer via the usb cord and also plug in the home charger if you have one, or make sure the battery is fully charged by plugging it in fo a few hours.

put your sd card in your card reader, open the sd card drive in your computer and copy (do not move them, use the copy option) then copy the files in to your flash drive for your 3100.

it will take awhile to transfer those files, because its like 1.6 gb.

after its done transferring the files, reboot the 3100. if that fails, let me know by replying to this post so i can continue to help you.

How can i update my magellan maestro 3210 without usb cable

i would go www.magellangps.com and download them from the website directly to your computer. Then your gps should have a memory card reader of some sort. You can take your memory card and the updates you downloaded and then you load the updates from the memory card. .

How do l update my maestro 3210

you will have to go to magellan.com & order the 2008/2009 map update. it costs a hundred bucks unless you are a caa member, then they knock off 25% or so. You can't burn a copy because they need a special code to make sure you bought it legally. Pretty smart. I just got mine & am trying to get it loaded now.
Good luck

go to Tech support at www.magellamgps.com tell them what has transpired and ask for 2.18 Update Recovery Files. This fixed my problem. Took a few email exchanges but I thought the responses were very quick.

Magellan Maestro 3100 stuck on

If you followed the procedure closely, you now have an SD card with your backup on it. The backup consists of two folders: BACKUP, and USBTRANS. Insert the backup SD card in your PC's reader slot and open a "file explorer" aka "Windows Explorer", not to be confused with "Internet Explorer". You will use Windows Explorer to click and drag the USBRANS folder to the Maestro.

With the Maestro 3100 connected to the PC, a couple of Explorer folders will open and you can see the file structure for the GPS in 1, and in the other one a separate file structure for the blank SD card needed for the update. Look at the file structure for the GPS and you should see a handful of folders including "SYS".

  • Start the upgrade program, following the procedures.
  • Click the NEXT button at the bottom of the procedures screen.
  • Immediately copy the backed up USBTRANS folder (and all contents) to the SYS folder on the GPS.
  • The update should now find the Maestro 3100 and proceed with the update.

SUMMARY: copy USBTRANS (it should contain 1 file: UNIT.DAT)
  • from your BACKUP SD card (not the one in the Maestro)
  • to your Maestro 3100's SYS folder.
