Not that we are here here to give out advice on how to bypass filters, but as general advice, most filters are set to block domains, such as facebook.com and all the subdomains under them. They generally don't block the word facebook, so the French version facebook.com.fr(or something) may not be blocked.
Remember that Google translates pages.

    Please note, that if your IT guy is worth anything, they do have running lists of who is logging on the network and where they do go, so it's not that hard to figure out where you are going.

Many schools block access to facebook as a security risk. Check with the college IT department to see if it is blocked and if you can get an exception to allow you to access it if it critical for talking to your family.

Why is facebook not opening
Your access may be blocked.

Schools, institutions and workplaces block websites from access and now more and more entire countries are blocking sites.

One option you can try is to use a web proxy to unblock Facebook. There's no need to pay for this service (although you can ) because there are many that are available for free.

Here are a few sites you can try:

Although security is pretty hard to pass now a days, and school security is getting tougher all the time, don't be surprised to find these Proxy Unblocker websites blocked themselves. You then have to move on to another that is not blocked.

On school computers access to certain websites is blocked by your system administrator. He is the only person who knows how to give you access to Facebook. You will have to talk to him - he may or may not approve your request to access the Facebook website.

Thank you for your question.
If your school or company has blocked Facebook, they are blocking it for reasons; takes away the user's concentration from work or studies and the site uses a lot of bandwidth.
You can still access FACEBOOK by using a proxy server. One is www.facebookproxy.co.uk. However, using may not be safe. Also, if your companies/school server security feature detects that it your are using a proxy, it may be blocked as well. You can search google for list of facebook proxies that may work with Facebook.
