My viewsonic tv will not turn off with the remote or the power button. i have to switch it off at the wall. it is displaying message power lock enable.

Try disabling the lock by pressing and holding [1] (menu) and the down arrow on the front panel for 10 seconds or so. This toggles the power lock on and off for several Viewsonic monitors.

    If you provide your model, I'll check my stack of manuals to see if Viewsonic changed the Lock procedure. Alternatively, seehttp://www.viewsonic.com and look for your model and the manual the site. Many Viewsonic models are listed.

or without this setting, after a power failure, your LCD display?s power will automatically
turn ON when power is restored.

hi, try this Power Button Lock
This mode locks the power of the LCD dislay in the ON position.

• Power Button Lock: Press and hold [1] and the down arrow for 10
seconds. If the power button is pressed the message Power Button Locked
will display for 5 seconds. With or without this setting, after a power failure,
your LCD dislay's power will automatically turn ON when power is restored.

• Power Button Unlock: Press and hold [1] and the down arrow again for

I have a Viewsonic flat-screen tv, it displays "menu locked" ??
Try holding the VOL + and VOL - buttons on the TV (not on the remote) down together. You should see a "unlocking buttons" message on screen. This might work. However, I tried it repeatedly, as told to by the Viewsonic "service" rep, and it didn't work for me. Viewsonic is ****, and so is its "service"!

Plug the power cord back into the properly grounded wall outlet. Then press the POWER button on the projection display or the remote control to turn the power on.

3735w Viewsonic Power lock problem
I had the same issue on my Viewsonic N3752w
The online guide, said I had to press VOL+ and Menu at the same time, but forgot to say
a) it's from the TV buttons NOT the remote!!!
b) you need to keep pressing these 2 until it stop saying "Power unlocking" but Unlocked.

Powerlock Enable
There are buttons on the bottom of the monitor. Counting from the left, hold down buttons 2 and 3 simultaneously and this will disable the power lock feature. At least that's what I have to do on my 19" model ViewSonic.
