Hi i just got this new phone two days ago and the touch screen is working kind of ok but the big problem is texting. Every time i try to send a text message when i pres send it doesnt send so i try to keep pressin the send button but nothing happens i need help please. It takes the message to an outbox and it just says waiting for a very long time and then hours later or minutes later it says that it failed to send the text message.

Contact your service provider. They will help you fix the problem. However, you may have to get your phone reprogrammed.

Does it show signal bars on the screen and are you able to make/receive calls? If not then that is why. AT&T does not guarantee in building service. If you do have signal and it is working other than text, then check your message center number in the device:

From the standby screen, press Menu.
Press Messaging.
Scroll to and select Settings.
Scroll to and select Text Message.
Enter appropriate Message Center Number, then press Done. The message center number that should be there is +13123149810 (and the + sign does need to be in front of it)

I have called Virgin mobile SO many times for almost 9 months now because of text messaging issues. I don't know if it's the phone or the crappy service (the texts aren't the only problem, to this day I have never been able to access the internet on either of the phones I have had with them). I never receive text messages anymore... On a rare occasion I'll get like 5 text messages back to back that are from days before, and then nothing again. I can never tell if the messages that I receive are actually being sent, but I know a few times people have called me frantically because my phone has sent them the same message sometimes up to 80 TIMES. The customer service reps never have a CLUE what they're talking about and they barely speak english. It is so obvious that they are literally quoting directly from the same **** that is posted on their terrible website. I cannot even bring myself to call them anymore because I am so sick of explaining EVERYTHING over again, only to get the same incredibly insulting line "we have opened an investigation into this issue and are working on fixing it". REALLY? FOR 9 MONTHS??? I am SO angry with Virgin mobile's overall terrible service that I have contacted an attorney and am in the process of taking legal action. I suggest everyone else do the same or get new service because this company is merely sitting back and stealing our money while doing absolutely nothing to improve their service.

Samsung Impression

I have had the Samsung Impression, for about 6 months now. With-in the first month i returned it for the same type because i had to turn it off the phone several times, because it failed to send texts. I didn't have problems after that until about 4 months later. I don't like this phone and I wish for a new one. I now have to turn it off about 4 times a day because, again, it fails to send text messages or takes a long time. Also the touch is off, for example: I will touch the call button but instead hit the ' * ' button. I have reset the touch screen but it constantly has the same problems. I have a 2 year contract with this phone, so unfortunately I have a long time with this phone still. :/ If you have this phone, good luck!

Cannot send out or recieve calls and texts

try turning off off for a min. or two that always help. call your co. and find out if the tranmitters are working they may be working on something in the area you are at. they can tell you if you have fair, good, or great coverage just by telling them the area ( zip coded) you are in. If all else fails like it my case, request a new phone.

Hi there Glen,

Here are few suggestions:

1. If this is a Prepaid sim, make sure your wife has enough load on the sim. Sometimes, even if you still have a few loads left, these networks does not process the text message especially for roaming sims. So let your wife load a new prepaid card.

2. Make sure your wife's phone is configured with the correct SMS Message Center. Ask Optus about it and have your wife double check on her phone's Message center setting.

3. If this is a postpaid, and that your phone can still call you from India to Australia, and that the suggestion in no. 2 was checked, then by all means, the problem is with Optus, considering that SMS sending was working days ago with your wife.

How to repiar lg gd510 touch screen .....not working ........help meee plzz....

I have an LG GD510 , with unlimited texting included in the plan.
The texting feature has always worked for me, until a couple of days ago when my messages were not going through, nor could I receive any text messages.
When I try to send a text message, it says "waiting" for a bit, and then goes to "sending" for about two seconds, after which it just goes back to "waiting." After several minutes, it then displays "message cannot be delivered."
I thought maybe my services were disconnected, but they are not. I can make and receive incoming/outgoing calls. I also called the company, and they told me my services have not been suspended. When I asked about my problem, they told me their systems were down, and to try back in the morning, but I still cannot text, and it has been on-going for a couple days now.
Do I have to hard reset my phone? And if so, how do I do that?
I was told it was under "touch settings", but when I go there, there is nothing about resetting your phone.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated!

I have had my samsung impression for 3 months. First issue is during texting, after sending a few text messages, it will not allow me to send anymore unless I turn the phone off and then back on. Okay,...

unfortunately there is no quick fix for this as far as i know. my first impression (that i only had for 3 1/2 months) decided to completely freeze the touchscreen, when i had absolutely no water damage and had never dropped it. i tried EVERYTHING took out the battery and the sim for an entire day, turned it on and off, and nothing worked. One thing i know, try your best not to drop this phone because my friend also had to get a new one because she dropped it several times, and they are VERY sensitive, and dropping it throws off the calibration, as does getting liquid on the screen. I went to a local at&t store and they said I would be eligible for a new phone because I had not caused the phone to stop working, but they could not give me one at the local store. i went to a DSC (device service center) for at&t, and the guy took one look at my phone, tried to play around with it, and within a couple minutes said I would be receiving a new phone that day. I received a new phone, and even got my numbers and my sim transferred for me. if your phone continues to freeze up, definitely bring it in. hope this helps :)

Samsung sch-870 won't send or receive text messages

ok the only thing i could say is to turn off the phone and remove the battery for about half a minute this would fix the problem hopefully. or try calling your service provider. I have telus and when that happened to me with the same phone i called them and they reset my network. they might have a problem doing this, so the easiest way to get your network reset for your phone is to tell them that you forgot your voicemail pin. when they reset your voicemail password they reset your network at the same time. hopefully this is answer your questions and get your sons cell working again.

try contacting your network sim operator and ask them to send you the text / mms numbers settings to your phone sounds like they are missing this can cause texts and mms to not be sent recieved

Text is stuck in my outbox

I had this same problem. Deleting and clicking "yes" at the warning screen would not remove the message from my outbox and the message kept resending for days.

Solution: In the Outbox, click "Menu" > Empty Deleted Items. Click "yes" at the warning. The message should now be gone from your outbox and your text buddy should now be able to regain sanity.

T-mobile credited back the resent text messages when I called them.
